League of Legends: Who will succeed TSM Bjergsen?
By Shay Coleman
Bjergsen’s contract expiry is looming. Will he be replaced in TSM’s League of Legends roster? I will look at some candidates to replace him for TSM’s LCS lineup.
With Bjergsen yet to renew his contract for the 2020 League of Legends LCS Season, today I’m looking at some potential candidates to fill Team SoloMid’s gap in the mid-lane. I will go from the most likely candidates to the least likely candidates just for fun and speculation.
Soren “Bjergsen” Bjerg has been Team SoloMid’s starting mid laner for the better part of six years. He has been dedicated to the success of the legacy organization, sticking with TSM through highs and lows to the point where he has become the sole face of the team. He has led Team SoloMid to five separate LCS championships. That number is staggering!

However, his run at TSM hasn’t been without bumps in the road. He only made it out of the World Championship group stage one time, attending the tournament four times in total. I think if TSM fails to make the LCS Summer Split final or fail to attend Worlds this year, Bjergsen could let his contract expire and find a new team to begin a new journey with.
If this possibility becomes a reality, it needs to be considered who would be a suitable candidate to succeed Bjergsen in the mid lane and bring TSM back to their former glory. I will consider who are the most realistic candidates first, and at the end, I will talk about the candidates that TSM fans would like to see join their organization.
