After a two week hiatus, we look again to see which League of Legends team in Korea is ruling the LCK!

When we last checked in on the LCK action, we saw Damwon surging to the top of the table, Griffin faltering, and Jin Air was winless. Oh but how quickly things change after just two weeks of League of Legends action. There’s a new king of LCK once again, but who is the best team in Korea?

More from International Tournaments

10. Jin Air Green Wings (4-34)

It’s actually incredible that Jin Air is this bad. They have a winning percentage of 11.8%. For context, that means their winning rate is lower than the batting average of St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright. And that’s after they just doubled their win total in the last two weeks.

9. KT Rolster (13-25)

KT, on the other hand, handed one of those wins to Jin Air in their series. Sure, they won the game eventually, but let’s be honest if you’re needing three games to close out Jin Air there really were no winners in that series.

8. Hanwha Life (14-23)

Good for Hanwha Life, who managed to pick up another win in a disappointing Summer Split by beating *squints* SK Telecom? Yes, that’s right, Hanwha Life actually managed to beat one of the hottest teams in the LCK in a three-game series last week. Somehow Sangyoon managed to not be worthless for once this split, putting up some really good games on Xayah and Lucian, only dying three times in the whole series.

7. Kingzone DragonX (22-21)

After the previous three teams, all of whom are mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, we have the teams that are in the pole positions for the Gauntlet. At the bottom of the barrel are Kingzone, who sit one series behind the final playoff spot entering the last week of the Summer Split, with only one series left to play.

Unfortunately for them, they will need to both win their series and have both Gen.G and SKT not win their final series (SKT actually has two chances to clinch a spot) as they were swept by Afreeca and do not hold the tiebreaker. The only good news for them is that their series is quite winnable, playing KT Rolster. Another lucky factor, both teams will face Damwon Gaming in Week 10, with SKT also having to face Sandbox, so they’re certainly not out of it yet.

6. Gen.G (23-18)

Another team fighting for their spot in the first round of the Gauntlet, Gen.G has the disadvantage that they are only going to get one series left to clinch. Given that it’s against Damwon, that victory is not for certain so they will need to put up a strong fight in Week 10.

The good news for them is that they have split the series with both Kingzone and Afreeca, so if they end tied with either team for the final playoff spot they’ll have the chance to win it in a tiebreaker (SKT swept them and owns the tiebreaker). But if they lose and Afreeca win, they’ll be out.
