Observations
- There is almost no agreement between these ten tier lists as to the strength of Yasuo and Heimerdinger. Multiple sites rated both of these champions in their A or S tiers, but they were also left off of multiple lists entirely.
- Tristana‘s had easily the biggest win rate improvement in the ADC role, as it shot up from 47.8% to 51.7%, almost a 4% bump! With the sixth-best win rate among AD Carries, I think she’s a bit underrated in the B tier.
- Miss Fortune‘s rise to the A+ tier is likely thanks to her win rate also improving by 1.1% to 54.6%, which is second-best in her role. Lucian‘s win rate also rose by a significant amount (just shy of 1%), while Kalista’s win rate actually fell by about 1.4% in Patch 9.22 despite her rising to the D tier.
- Interestingly, of the champions who fell in our tier list, only Ashe saw a significant decline in her win rate thanks to the nerfs (more on that in a second). Xayah’s win rate stayed flat in Patch 9.22 and Varus‘s actually improved.
- He may be the lowest-ranked champion on this tier list, but Heimerdinger does have the best win rate in the bot lane at 55.1% in this patch. On the other hand, shockingly, with a 46.9% win rate in Patch 9.22 Kai’Sa has the worst win rate of any ADC following her recent nerfs.
Buffed champions
Kalista
Riot elected to give Kalista some extra bonus damage to marked targets from her W – Sentinel. Although this did add a significant amount of percent max health damage to her kit and brought her out of the F tier, her win rate fell in Patch 9.22 from 48.4% to 47%, which is second-worst in the role.
Nerfed champions
Ashe
As we touched on above, Ashe‘s win rate went down after the nerfs to her W – Volley‘s mana cost by almost 3% (54.7% to 51.9%). Now she still has a top-five win rate in her role and she’s in the A+ tier so, although the nerfs had a definite impact, she’s certainly in a weaker state.
Kai’Sa
She may be a monster in organized play but in solo queue, Kai’Sa is struggling after Patch 9.22. Her win rate, which never topped 49.3% in the last five patches, is the worst in her role following the missile damage nerf to her Q – Icathian Rain. She’s in the A tier for now, but who knows how long that will last.
Xayah
Finally, Riot nerfed Xayah‘s late-game carry potential by taking bonus attack speed off her W – Deadly Plumage and it was enough to drop her a tier in our ranking. Her win rate and pick rate haven’t really suffered but the general perception of her power level is definitely down.
