Dennis “Svenskeren” Johnsen (Jungle, Evil Geniuses)

When the super team that is Evil Geniuses formed before last spring, most people saw Svenskeren as the centerpiece to the team. He was the reigning LCS MVP, coming off a split of incredible success with Cloud9, traded away inexplicably. Unfortunately, his time on Evil Geniuses has been a mixed bag, at best.

While his former team C9 is dominating and his replacement won MVP, Svenskeren and EG have struggled in 2020. He is often overshadowed by teammates like Daniele “Jiizuke” di Mauro and Bae “Bang” Jun-sik while the team was mediocre-to-bad for most of the first half of the split.

The team did manage to turn things around in the second half of the spring split, but unfortunately Sven himself was more of a passenger than a conductor. He was one of the worst early game junglers in the LCS and was one of the worst players in the whole league in terms of deaths per game.

We know Sven is an MVP-level player on his best days, he’s shown that with Cloud9. For whatever reason, he just has not yet developed that same level of understanding with his teammates on Evil Geniuses to enable him to bully through the early game like he used to. Hopefully, he will develop that crucial mid/jungle synergy with Jiizuke that he had with Nisqy on C9 and begin to return to that form.
