LCS Summer 2020: Five Players Poised for a Comeback Next Split
By Josh Tyler
With the LCS Summer Split approaching, we give five players who could be poised to rebound in Summer 2020.
The return of the LCS is only a few weeks away, as Riot recently released the schedule for the first week of games, which will also see the Monday games shift to Friday. With tons of storylines dominating the offseason including the release of Huni, Jatt leaving the LCS broadcast to become the coach of Team Liquid, to all the Doublelift drama, Summer 2020 is going to be a lot of fun to watch.

While most players are looking forward to the Summer Split because they’re eying a shot at Worlds or just to get a break from being cooped up inside due to COVID-19, a few are eager to rebound from poor performances in the spring. Here are five players who are in the best position to rebound from subpar performances in Summer 2020.
Honorable Mentions
Before getting into the list, two players warrant a special mention because, while I believe both could be poised to have a comeback split, their futures are in doubt. Those would be former Dignitas top laner Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon and current (for now) TSM jungler Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett.
Both of these players have their futures in question, with Huni now released and searching for a team, while Dardoch is rumored to be on his way out of TSM. Both of these players have a history of success in the LCS, but both find themselves searching for a team for Summer 2020. If either of them ends up in a good landing spot, they could both be poised for a comeback.
