TFT Patch 10.14 Breakdown: Changes Crammed into the Dwarf Galaxy
By Josh Tyler
Let’s look at all the changes coming to TFT in Patch 10.14!
Tier 4 Champions
Fizz
"Chum the Waters Damage: 450/600/5000 ⇒ 400/550/4000"
Fizz is basically useless as a unit when he’s not in his mech suit, so I don’t agree with the idea that his ult was too powerful. Unnecessary nerf that was also massive to his power level.
Irelia
"Health: 800 ⇒ 900 Attack Damage: 70 ⇒ 85 Armor: 35 ⇒ 50 Magic Resist: 20 ⇒ 40 Bladesurge Damage: 175/250/500% ⇒ 225/250/500%"

Despite Cybernetics being in a strong spot, Riot has acknowledged that Irelia was lagging far behind the others in the comp. That said, these buffs are MASSIVE!
15 AD, 15 armor, 20 MR, and 50% more damage at rank one ability? That is absolutely huge and is probably going to make Irelia the go-to late game carry. Cybernetics may pull a Terminator and not quite be dead yet.
Jhin
"Attack Damage: 80 ⇒ 85 Attack Speed: 0.85/0.9/1.1 ⇒ 0.9/0.95/1.2 4th Shot Damage: 244/344/4444% ⇒ 350/500/4444%"
I swear, in all the time that I’ve been talking about Jhin-guard and Dark Star comps coming back, I didn’t know that Jhin was also getting a buff in Patch 10.14. Seeing these buffs, though, I can confidently say that he will be a monster in the new patch. I mean, he has more damage on his 4th shot at 1-star than he previously did at 2-stars!
Jinx
"Attack Speed: 0.75 ⇒ 0.7"
Of all the nerfs to the big three carries of Patch 10.13, this is probably the tamest on the surface but also the most impactful. Jinx is an on-hit monster who needs to get attack speed through her synergies and taking some of that away from her base attack speed severely weakens her.
Riven
"Shield: 225/375/1000 ⇒ 200/350/1000"
While these changes seem small (25 shield strength at 1 and 2-stars) remember that the core of Riven’s build is Rabadon’s Deathcap. Since this makes sources of spell power 50% more effective, this means in reality she’s losing 37.5 shield at each level. That’s very significant for a unit that relies on her shield to keep her alive to output damage.
Viktor
"Spell Second Part: 250/400/1500 ⇒ 200/325/1500"
I’m glad that Viktor didn’t go under the radar to avoid nerfs because he was in dire need of them as well. They actually took off a lot of his spell power on the second proc so this should be a significant nerf, even if Sorcerers are also getting buffed.
