We break down TFT Patch 10.16 and discuss the newest galaxy coming to Teamfight Tactics!

Tier 3 Champions

Bard

"Passive Mana: 8/20/90 ⇒ 5/20/90"

A fairly significant nerf to Bard’s early mana because you’re never building up Bard with any mana items or leveling him up.

Ezreal

"3-star Spell Damage: 400 ⇒ 800"

Doubling Ezreal’s 3-star spell damage is actually pretty massive, as it makes his ult one of the most powerful spells in the game. I could actually see slow roll Ezreal with Rabadons and Morellos becoming ridiculously OP after this change goes through.

Rumble

"3-star Spell Damage: 1500 ⇒ 1650"

Although Annie got larger buffs overall, Rumble has the advantage of being completely viable as a stand-alone unit without the Mech. This buff, especially with the new BBQ Rumble build, could go from a unique, fun pick to OP in Patch 10.16!

Vi

"3-star Spell Damage: 1100 ⇒ 1350 3-star Secondary Damage: 500 ⇒ 600"

More from Patch Updates

The damage from Vi’s ultimate is not really why you’re picking her and this doesn’t make her a more viable front-line unit. Getting her to 3-stars will be better now, but she’s not a slow roll priority.

Vayne

"3-star Spell Attack Damage: 225% ⇒ 275%"

Like her fellow Cybernetic Lucian, Vayne can be incredibly strong with the right synergies and items. Even now, in her fairly weakened state, 3-star Vayne can be a strong unit and that will be true as well in Patch 10.16. The problem is that her early and mid game are still too weak to make her a reliable slow roll unit.

Tier 4 Champions

Fizz

"Spell Power: 400/550/4000 ⇒ 350/550/4000"

Fizz is a bit more similar to Rumble in that he can exist just fine outside of the mech. This buff to his spell power and 1 and 3-stars is pretty significant.

Gnar

"3-star Transform Health: 4000 ⇒ 5000"

While 1000 extra health is no joke, it’s very unlikely you’ll ever get 3-star Gnar.

Jhin

"Attack Speed: 0.9/0.95/1.2 ⇒ 0.85/0.9/1.2"

A little love to let Jhin get off those uber-slow attacks a bit faster now. Already one of the strongest units in TFT, he could be even better in Patch 10.16.

Jinx

"Attack Damage: 70 ⇒ 75"

Like Jhin, Jinx is already a super-strong unit in TFT and this buff only makes her more threatening. The pairing of her and Ezreal could be game-changing.

Riven

"3-star Base Spell Damage: 450 ⇒ 600 3-star Spell Shield: 1000 ⇒ 1200 3-star Final Spell Damage: 1000 ⇒ 1500"

A lot of big buffs to Riven at 3-stars but, as is the case with all 4 and 5-cost units, how many times can you realistically get a 3-star unit?

Teemo

"Attack Speed: 1.0 ⇒ 0.95"

Teemo’s been a strong Sniper for a while, so I don’t hate Riot trimming his power a bit. Hitting his attack speed is going to be a very slight nerf, so I expect he’ll still be a fine unit to build around.

Tier 5 Champions

Gangplank

Spell Damage: 450/600/9001 ⇒ 550/700/9001

GP has probably been the weakest 5-cost unit for a while now, so I like that they’re helping his damage out where he needs it most: at 1 and 2-stars.

Janna

"3-star Stun Duration: 1.5 ⇒ 8 sec"

MASSIVE buff to Janna. But that’s if you can get her to 3-stars, which is basically impossible.
