With TFT Set 4 on the horizon, we rank every unit that will be available to play in TFT: Fates.

4-Cost Units

1. Aatrox

Origin: Cultist (5/5)
Class: Vanguard (2/5)

Synergy: Cultists will be a decently strong comp, but it’s not really dependent on the Vanguards. That said, having the extra tankiness to survive longer delays Galio from coming out, which is not what that comp wants. (1/5)

Ultimate (Infernal Chains): After a brief delay, Aatrox pulls in the farthest enemies then slams the ground, dealing magic damage to all adjacent enemies. (4/5)

Overall rating: 12/20

2. Ahri

Origin: Spirit (2/5)
Class: Mage (3/5)

Synergy: Probably the best synergy for a Spirit unit is to be paired with Mages because Ahri wants to get off more of those casts. (5/5)

Ultimate (Spirit Bomb): Ahri channels, summoning a large ball of spirit energy. After 1.5 seconds, she lobs it at her target dealing magic damage to all enemies within 2 hexes. (4/5)

Overall rating: 14/20

3. Ashe

Origin: Elderwood (4/5)
Class: Hunter (5/5)

Synergy: Great synergy here with Ashe getting the bonus damage she wants and the Hunter also amps her damage on low-health targets. (5/5)

Ultimate (Hunter’s Focus): Ashe gains Attack Speed for 5 seconds, and her Basic Attacks fire a flurry of arrows dealing physical damage. (4/5)

Overall rating: 18/20

4. Cassiopeia

Origin: Dusk (4/5)
Class: Dazzler (1/5)

Synergy: No synergy at all between these two synergies and I doubt anyone is going to make a comp based around these two traits. (2/5)

Ultimate (Petrifying Gaze): Cassiopeia releases a cone of magic energy towards her target, dealing magic damage to all enemies hit, stunning them for a few seconds, and causing them to take 10% increased damage while stunned. (5/5)

Overall rating: 12/20

5. Jhin

Origin: Cultist (5/5)
Class: Sharpshooter (3/5)

Synergy: No real synergy between these two traits, but I could certainly see these two coming together to form a decently strong comp. (4/5)

Ultimate (Whisper): Jhin converts each 1% of bonus attack speed he has into 0.8 attack damage. Every fourth shot, Jhin deals bonus damage. (4/5)

Overall rating: 16/20

6. Morgana

Origin: Enlightened (2/5)
Class: Dazzler (1/5)

Synergy: I mean…at least these two traits work decently well together but I doubt anyone will want to make an Enlightened/Dazzler comp. (3/5)

Ultimate (Tormented Shadow): Morgana hallows the ground beneath her target, dealing magic damage to enemies within over 5 seconds and shredding magic resistance over the duration. Morgana restores some of the damage dealt. (4/5)

Overall rating: 10/20

7. Riven

Origin: Dusk (4/5)
Class: Keeper (3/5)

Synergy: I actually think these comps could be very strong together, even though they don’t benefit each other. We’ll see if they actually do come together. (3/5)

Ultimate (Energy Slash): Riven dashes and shields herself, then slashes forward dealing magic damage to nearby enemies. Every third cast, Riven leaps into the air and launches forward a large wave of energy that deals magic damage. (5/5)

Overall rating: 15/20

8. Sejuani

Origin: Fortune (1/5)
Class: Vanguard (2/5)

Synergy: Nope, terrible. No reason to pair these two traits together. (1/5)

Ultimate (Firecracker): Sejuani sets off a giant firecracker. After a short delay, enemies caught within are dealt magic damage and stunned for a few seconds. (4/5)

Overall rating: 8/20

9. Shen

Origin: Ninja (3/5)
Class: Adept (2/5)

Synergy: Sure, getting the extra attack speed is nice for Shen and Ninjas to deal their extra AD, but I don’t really think these will be a high-tier comp in combination. However, I definitely think they will work together. (3/5)

Ultimate (Shadow Dash): Shen dashes past his target, shielding himself against damage and taunting all adjacent enemies for 3 seconds. (3/5)

Overall rating: 11/20

10. Talon

Origin: Enlightened (2/5)
Class: Assassin (4/5)

Synergy: Really no benefit for Assassins from getting mana unless their ability is uber-powerful, which Talon’s is, but it has a reset component to it so he doesn’t really care about the mana regen too much. (2/5)

Ultimate (Truestrike): Talon stabs his target, striking them for a percent of his attack damage. If this kills them, Talon becomes unstoppable, untargetable, and invulnerable while he leaps to the enemy who’s done the most damage this round and refunds his mana. (5/5)

Overall rating: 13/20

11. Warwick

Origin: Divine (5/5)
Class: Brawler / Hunter (4/5)

Synergy: These are great synergies that Warwick has because he gets bonus damage from two traits (Divine and Hunter) and he’s getting extra tankiness to help him survive longer. He’s also got two of the strongest traits in his kit, so Warwick will fit into a lot of top-tier comps. (5/5)

Ultimate (Primal Hunger): Warwick gains Attack Speed, Lifesteal, and moves faster for the rest of combat. While in this state, if Warwick scores a takedown he howls, fearing all adjacent enemies for a few seconds. (5/5)

Overall rating: 19/20
