10-ban is wise decision for Spring Split in League
Heading into the Spring Split, League of Legends made a wise decision when it came to expanding their champion ban number to ensure better matchups.
With the Spring Split coming towards the end of January to League of Legends, they made some serious changes to the professional scene. League has officially announced that there will be a 10-ban champion selection for professional play.
This change makes a ton of sense in the grand scheme of things. Not only will it enable professional players from all across the world to have a few more champions mastered but it will ensure we won’t be seeing the same characters over and over again. In any competition, diversity will only increase the matchups to make them even more impressive to watch.
It won’t be easy to accept the new changes but over time, professional players will adjust and the fans will be the ones to enjoy what they can now do with other champions. Especially with ones that haven’t always been popular choices in the Fields of Justice.

League has clarified that they rolled out this new 10-ban system in beta months ago to professional players and plenty praised it. It’s all about bringing other champions to the spotlight to see how creative the pros can get with everything on the line.
