Faker sets Twitch all-time record for live streaming
Legendary player “Faker” continues to make a name for himself in League of Legends. He just did it again but this time with a record-setting debut on Twitch.
Is there anything Faker can’t do? Besides being one of the best League of Legends players to ever grace the game, his following is surreal. Fans all across the world consider him the Michael Jordan of Esports as he continues to prove why he’s the best of the best in the grand scheme of things.
What Faker did recently is truly remarkable. In an article written by Leo Howell of ESPN, Faker set the all-time record for concurrent viewers for an individual steamer’s channel on Twitch. Due to a new partnership between SK Telecom T1 and Twitch, Faker set this amazing record on his debut for the live streaming service.
Faker had a peak of over 245,000 viewers as he featured gameplay and with the help of an English translator, gave tips and much more to everyone that tuned in. His popularity, as well as the professional Esports team he proudly calls home, will only grow considering how big League continues to get.
