League gets it right with new teamwork bonus experience
When it comes to their latest patch update, League of Legends got it right by launching a new teamwork bonus experience feature for Summoners that need help catching up.
We’ve all been there before in League of Legends. You’re in your assigned lane, trying to do well in your role, then all of a sudden, you get ganked and die. By the time you get back and into the swing of things, lots of minions have died at the hands of your enemies and you’re losing control of your lane. Next thing you know, the enemies you’re facing are a good one, maybe even two levels higher than you and well, it’s a struggle to even keep up with getting back in control.
Thanks to League’s new 7.4 patch update, they’ve added a new feature to alleviate this by adding teamwork bonus experience. Basically, if you’re behind in levels compared to your teammates, whenever you get a kill or assist, you will get bonus experience to help catch up. It’s all done to where it now scales based on the overall team level and if you’re a level or two behind. If you’re really behind, you’ll level up even faster.
It caps at four full levels below your teammates and in the grand scheme of things, should tremendously help Summoners that always tend to take one for the team. Whether they help gank when you ask for assistance or roam in between lanes to find enemy champions that are just a hit or two away from death, this new feature will help even the battlefield.

Before this update, it wasn’t fair for Summoners that ventured out of their assigned role just to help push another lane or get involved in a team fight. With this new teamwork bonus experience, it will help keep games balanced and not let anyone fall too far behind. Especially those Summoners that might be struggling early on.
Besides that, Summoners will now get bonus experience when you’re able to get a big kill or assist when facing enemy champions that are higher in level So if by some miracle you’re involved in taking down an enemy champion that is anywhere between one to four levels higher than you, you’ll now get even more bonus experience.
Overall, this is another great update that will only make the League experience even better. The truth of the matter is, not everyone is perfect and sometimes, even the best of the best need a helping hand in getting back on track. Getting bonus experience when behind in a match will only bring better results and the ability to keep everything balanced to yield more competitive matches.
