League of Legends would be wise to make ARSR a permanent game mode
If it’s true that League of Legends will be making All Random Summoner’s Rift (ARSR) into a permanent game mode, it would be a wise move to make.
When it comes to the various game modes in League of Legends, it’s pretty simple and to the point. While the majority enjoy playing the traditional 5v5 Summoner’s Rift, popular modes like URF and ARAM are always fun to play with friends.
But what happens if League of Legends decided to make a permanent mode that features both the Summoner’s Rift map and ARAM? The “All Random Summoner’s Rift” mode or ARSR as it’s called in the Fields of Justice, could very well be a permanent mode in the future.
In an article written by James “Obscurica” Chen for PvPLive.net, he broke down what developers of League of Legends said via their official message boards. Take a look below:

"We don’t currently have plans to make ARSR permanent, but we’re not inherently against the idea either. Unlike Dominion or other gameplay heavy modes, this doesn’t need any upkeep patch to patch. For the most part, it ‘just works’. If the game mode turns out to be pretty healthy and #goodtimes for everyone then sure, we could consider if it could be enabled."
As of now, while there are no immediate plans to enable such a permanent feature, it would be a great idea in the grand scheme of things. The truth of the matter is, it’s a fun mode that would get a lot of new Summoners into it since it’s basically the most popular map in the game with the unpredictability of playing a different champion every single time.
Not only would this be a more casual way to play League of Legends, it would make players actually have to learn and get used to other champions. Which of course would result in more players willing to play other roles than just mid or bottom lane when playing competitive matches.
Overall, ARSR would be a hit among players and well, would continue to put League of Legends in a position that encourages new players to give it a shot. It’s a mode that showcases the premier map of the game and all the unique characters that make it so addictive to play.
