Double IP weekend is finally here in League of Legends as here is how to make the most out of the event.

Ah yes, who doesn’t love Double IP weekend? As per League of Legends, the event has officially begun as Summoners can now begin racking up Double IP from now until Sunday, April 23rd, Pacific Time. In addition to the event, two unique Summoner icons are now available to be unlocked for the first-week debut of both Xayah and Rakan.

To unlock the duo icon, it can only be achieved if you gift either new champion to a friend. This costs 6,300 IP (discounted from 7,800 IP) and the icon will be yours. To unlock the awesome new “Blazing Feathers” icon, you need to bring both new champions to the Summoner’s Rift. You’ll need to at least play two games with both Xayah and Rakan on your team in normal, ranked, or bot game mode and it will be yours. Keep in mind, custom games are excluded from earning this new icon.

Both unlockable icons will be available to be earned between now and Wednesday, April 26th, Pacific Time. Now, in order to make the most out of this Double IP weekend, it’s important to remember that the goal is to play as many matches as possible.

Gather your in-game friends to ensure you have a fun experience in racking up a plethora of Double IP. Trying to earn it by playing with random other Summoners might prove to be difficult in the grand scheme of things. If you’d like to search for more friendlier players that have the same goal in mind of earning lots of Double IP and/or even unlocking both new Summoner icons, hit up popular message boards.

Both the official message boards in League of Legends and even in Reddit are good places to post a new thread asking for players to queue up with. As long as you mention what your main goal is and to simply have a good experience in queuing up together, you’ll easily make the most of what should be an eventful weekend.
