Item set creator tool coming soon to client
For Summoners upset that the new gaming client in League of Legends lacks what the original had, one big feature is making a return sooner than later.
Since the old gaming client of League of Legends has officially been retired, Summoners have been upset since one of their favorite features isn’t in the new client. That’s right, making your own item sets has been missing in action and well, is an inconvenience to many since it’s a feature that makes things much easier and organized right before matches.
No matter what lane you specialize in, the item set creator tool makes it great for getting a good idea of what to build in order to leave a match victorious. It saves so much in-game time to where it’s an incredibly helpful tool that will bring even more competitive matches.
Rest assured everyone, developers do indeed plan to implement that awesome feature back into the new client. In an article written by James “Obscurica” Chen for PvPLive.net, it’s confirmed that this featured is already in beta and should hopefully be rolled out soon. Here’s what developers had to say from Chen’s article:
"We’ve finally got a date for the return of the Item Set Creator Tool. We’re now aiming to bring the feature (which lets you edit item sets from the client without using a third party tool) to the PBE with patch 7.10. Barring any problems, it will then come to live servers soon after. We’ll update you in the patch notes if anything happens to delay the tool’s release further. Check the FAQ below for more details."

At the end of the day, it’s an awesome feature that once gets re-introduced into League of Legends, will make life much easier in the grand scheme of things. More than likely this update will happen after the Mid-Season Invitational, as Chen predicted in his article.
It makes sense since that will be after a major competition is in the books and League of Legends can roll out such an update during the aftermath. As gamers from all over the world will see just how awesome the MSI will be, it will bring in a plethora of new Summoners. It’s important to have the client, game, champions, and all bug updates (for the most part!) all updated for new players to sink their teeth in.
