League of Legends recently added the mode called Dark Star Singularity which brings a whole new level of 3v3 matches to the game for a limited time only.

This week in League of Legends, they added a brand new mode called Dark Star Singularity which is a 3v3 match where you play as Thresh, the Chain Warden. It’s a quick mode played on the map Cosmic Ruins taking place in outer space.

For those that haven’t played as Thresh, it will take some time to get used to his abilities but this match focuses on one thing only. Basically, the purpose of this mode is to use his Hook and Flay ability to throw enemies into the black hole to sacrifice them for the Dark Star.

If you’ve never played as Thresh in his amazing Dark Star skin, it’s a complete blast and only used in this mode. You earn points by throwing either enemy champions or Abyss Scuttlers into the Dark Star. It’s a series of which team wins the most out of three matches and you win one by having your team earn 100 points first.

Best of all, League of Legends added new skins, icons, and a ward to the game in honor of this new mode. For skins, they added a new Dark Star Orianna and Dark Star Kha’Zix. Each new skin also has a new icon, including two of which that are unlocked by achieving kills and playing with friends. For wards, Corruptant Ward is now available for purchase in the Store.

Keep in mind the event goes from now until Monday, May 15th, 2017. It’s a great way to earn IP since if you spend a few hours doing nonstop Dark Star Singularity matches, you’ll rack up a plethora of it in no time.

For those of you who may have never played as Thresh and are considering to use him in the Fields of Justice, he’s one of the best support champions in the game. Games have been won or lost based on how well Thresh does as he’s a difference maker in every match he’s a part of. If you’re considering to play with him outside of this new game mode, make sure to stack up on armor and magic resist when it comes to runes.
