Heading into the weekend, Galio, the Colossus, is the best champion to consider purchasing in League of Legends.
Galio, the Colossus, was recently updated in League of Legends. With a whole new look, kit, and updated lore, everyone’s favorite Demacian stone warden has taken the Fields of Justice by storm. As per Champion.gg, Galio’s win rate is respectable at 48.24 percent in the top lane and 48.21 percent as a mid lane champion.
For those Summoners that might not own him and are looking for a tanky champion that does viable damage, Galio is on sale this week. Originally priced at 790 RP, Galio is on sale for just 395 RP. Ever since his rework, Galio has been seeing a huge spike in popularity as his new abilities have gotten rave reviews.
When it comes to Galio, make sure to have the proper runes and masteries set before queuing up. Summoners will find Galio does well if you stack him up with runes of armor, magic resist, and ability power.

Galio’s ultimate ability, R- Hero’s Entrance, is truly a game-changer late in matches. He’s able to target a teammate and not only reduce their damage but comes crashing down onto the map knocking enemy champions up in the air from where they’re at.
During key team fights to push a lane or even go after a Nexus, Galio’s ultimate when strategically used can wipe the floor clean of enemy champions. It’s important before using it to communicate with your teammates to let you know quickly when to unleash it. That way, once enemies are up in the air, teammates can come in and hit them with everything they got.
When queuing up with Galio, make sure to ban either Tryndamere, Aatrox, and Olaf as they counter him pretty well. Aside from that, once you master Galio’s kit, he truly is a blast to play with.
Overall, if you don’t have Galio in your collection and main either the top or mid lanes, he makes for a solid champion that brings a lot to the table. He knocks enemies up in the air and depending on your playstyle, can be geared up to be a high damage-dealing tanking champion that will take a lot to bring him down. At just 395 RP, he truly is a steal this week.
