Updates coming to catch intentional feeders
It’s always frustrating when you’re about to begin a match in League of Legends and find out you have an intentional feeder on your team. Luckily, developers are working on adding updates to catch these kinds of behaviors quicker.
Nothing is more annoying in League of Legends than queuing up, finding a group, selecting your champion and bans only to find out three minutes into a match, you have a robotic intentional feeder on your team. They’re unresponsive and simply die to a tower or engage in a 3v1 situation and continue to pile on death after death.
Luckily, developers have noticed that these kinds of behaviors are becoming more frequent as of late. They already have detection software in place but it doesn’t do much after a match has begun and these intentional feeders are doing the same thing over and over again. Or worst yet, it’s a real Summoner that is frustrated because they didn’t get their preferred champion or simply want to troll.
In an article written by James “Obscurica” Chen for PvPLive.net, he confirmed that developers are taking action to bring an update to not only detecting intentional feeders but also taking care of trolls. Here is what developer Draggles had to say:

"We’re developing some changes to our automated system that we think will catch far more inters automatically. It’s never going to be perfect, but we’re pretty confident we can catch more intentional feeders without increasing our false positive rate."
"In the meantime, we’ll be doing more manual reviews and bans"
"Looking even further out, we’re considering some broader changes that could make it harder to troll. However, these sorts of things are earlier on in design, so don’t expect much on this front for a little while."
Trolls that end up intentionally feeding will more than likely receive harsher bans and possibly even suspensions. In the grand scheme of things, League of Legends is all about teamwork, being positive, and doing the best one can do in their respective role. Trolling will happen every now and then but hopefully, after these updates, it will remove the more serious ones once and for all.
