Heading into Week 4 of July, take a look at everything Annie, the Dark Child, brings to the table in League of Legends.

We have all been there before in League of Legends. You’re doing your thing in either the mid or bottom lane then all of a sudden, Annie, the Dark Child, comes out of nowhere and takes a plethora of your health away in a matter of seconds. Just before you’re able to safely get to a tower to prevent dying, she throws Tibbers at you and it’s pretty much game over.

As one of the more powerful mages in League of Legends, Annie is easily the top character to play in this week’s free champion rotation. She’s fun to play with and excels in either the mid lane or as a quality support option.

Summoners should know if they plan to give her a shot in the Summoner’s Rift, make sure to stack on Magic Penetration and Ability Power. As far as items go, build your way through to Eye of the Watchers, Liandry’s Torment, and have your final item be Zhonya’s Hourglass. With all that ability power at her disposal, it’ll be hard to escape Annie once she unleashes all her spells.

More from Champion Rotation

Out of the two preferred roles for Annie, as per Champion.gg, she currently has a 52 percent win rate as a mid lane option.

When going up against others in the Summoner’s Rift, make sure to let your teammates know to ban Malzahar, Anivia, and Xerath. They tend to give Annie the most problems as they counter her hard.

Annie does great with CS and well, once is properly geared and leveled can truly be a force to reckon with. Once you get used to her kit, it’ll be hard to not continue playing as her since she truly packs a punch.

Overall, Annie does well in team fights and can be quite disruptive against low-health enemies. If you’re looking for a new champion that delivers some incredible burst damage, look no further than Annie.
