Developers in League of Legends have already begun making key changes to the game ahead of Worlds 2017. Here are some that are featured in patch update 7.16.

Besides the many nerfs and buffs to champions that hit League of Legends in patch update 7.16, developers are already preparing for Worlds 2017. The big championship in League of Legends will bring some of the best and fiercest competitors from all over the world to compete in the biggest tournament of them all.

Developers must ensure that the most balanced and bug-free patch is being played by some of the greatest Esports players in the world. To make sure they work out all the kinks to champions, items, and bugfixes, developers have already begun preparing the game for the yearly championship. It looks like 20+ champions will be changed between now and Worlds 2017.

Courtesy of the Media Relations Department of League of Legends, take a look below at all the specific changes that hit mid lane champions ahead of Worlds 2017 in patch update 7.16.

Cassiopeia

Cassiopeia, the Serpent’s Embrace, got hit with several nerfs. Not only have developers nerfed her base mana, but also the damage to her E – Twin Fang.

"Base statsBASE MANA :: 375 >>> 334MANA GROWTH STAT :: 60 >>> 63E – Twin FangDAMAGE VS POISONED TARGETS :: 10/40/70/100/130 (+0.35 ability power) >>> 15/40/65/90/115 (+0.4 ability power)"

Corki

Unfortunately, Corki got nerfed this patch when it comes to his overall attack damage. No, not even his arcade skin will make a difference anymore no matter how cool you look.

"Base statsBASE ATTACK DAMAGE :: 58 >>> 55"

Fizz

Finally! A buff to a mid lane champion as everyone’s favorite Tidal Trickster gets his E – Playful/Trickster cooldown decreased. Don’t say I didn’t warn you when you see Fizz come crashing down on your soul.

"E – Playful / TricksterCOOLDOWN :: 18/16/14/12/10 seconds >>> 16/14.5/13/11.5/10 seconds"

Galio

When it comes to Galio’s ultimate, R – Hero’s Entrance, when he’s first able to unlock it and drop it to initiate team fights, it’s a bit overpowered. To balance things out, developers have added time to its cooldown and the damage reduction to teammates around him when he lands.

"R – Hero’s EntranceCOOLDOWN :: 160/140/120 seconds >>> 180/150/120 secondsALLY DAMAGE REDUCTION :: 20/30/40% >>> 20/25/30%"

LeBlanc

Developers felt that LeBlanc, the Deceiver, was a bit overpowered when it came to her Q – Shatter Orb. Due to this, they’ve nerfed the damage done by this ability.

"Q – Shatter OrbMINION DAMAGE :: 80% >>> 60%"

Orianna

Unfortunately for all you Orianna mains out there, she got hit with a plethora of nerfs. Her damage of W – Command: Dissonance was decreased as well as the base shield in E – Command: Protect.

"W – Command: DissonanceBASE DAMAGE :: 70/115/160/205/250 >>> 60/105/150/195/240BUFFERED CAST RANGE :: While The Ball is moving from Q – Command: Attack, Orianna can queue up Command: Dissonance if The Ball is within ||| 275 >>> 75 units of Q’s target location. Spell queueing attempts from a greater distance are ignored.WHAT? :: Orianna has to wait to press W until The Ball is closer to Q’s target location.E – Command: ProtectBASE SHIELD :: 80/120/160/200/240 >>> 60/100/140/180/220GAME-BREAKING BUG :: E’s damage is unchanged, so the “75%” figure written in the tooltip is incorrect. Trust the actual damage values listed!"

Syndra

Syndra also sees some nerfs her way due to how much of a burst damage champion she is. She should be more balanced now in the Summoner’s Rift.

"Q – Dark SphereRATIO :: 0.75 ability power >>> 0.65 ability powerE – Scatter the WeakRATIO :: 0.5 ability power >>> 0.6 ability power"

Taliyah

The Stoneweaver sees her mana cost increase with her Q – Threaded Volley. That way, it won’t be such a headache for opposing enemies since it won’t be able to be cast as much.

"Q – Threaded VolleyCOST :: 50/55/60/65/70 mana >>> 60/70/80/90/100 mana"
