Ornn, the Fire Below the Mountain, can upgrade only eight items in League of Legends as teammates can only get one each.
Patch update 7.17 brought a lot of changes to League of Legends and introduced a new champion in Ornn, the Fire Below the Mountain. Mostly a top lane champion, Ornn has an amazing ability to shop anywhere on the map and best of all, upgrade certain items for himself and his fellow teammates.
Keep in mind, Ornn can only upgrade eight items as teammates can buy a single upgrade from the Shop provided he’s on their team. Each upgrade will cost a certain amount of gold depending on which one you get but in the grand scheme of things, it’s huge strategy to have when it comes to the late game part of a match.
At this point in time, Ornn can only upgrade the following items:
Infinity Edge
Trinity Force
Abyssmal Mask
Rabadon’s Deathcap
Black Cleaver
Sunfire Cape
Redemption
Locket of the Iron Solari
So far, Ornn has been well-received by Summoners looking for a new top lane champion to try out. Some have made the case that he’s also a viable support champion as with the right items, he could truly be a force to reckon with in the bottom lane.

It’s important to remember that he’s still new and prone to get more updates in the future.
Recently, there was an issue when it came to being Ornn and going up against Mordekaiser in the top lane due to a major glitch. Developers quickly fixed it but now, he’s having issues being seen by those that play League of Legends on a Mac.
Overall, it remains to be seen if in the future Ornn can upgrade even more items or provide better stats to what he can boost. Either way, give him a chance to see what he brings to the table as he’s currently 7,800 Influence Points or if you don’t have enough, can also be purchased for 975 Riot Points.
