Udyr is top free champion to play in Oct. Week 2
The second week of October brings some strong champions to play in the free champion rotation of League of Legends. Udyr, the Spirit Walker, is the top champion to check out.
When it comes to Udyr, the Spirit Walker, he’s primarily a jungling champion that can shift his style of play at any given time in order to keep enemy champions guessing as to what is coming next. Despite not being a popular pick in League of Legends, Summoners know that if one can master his kit, Udyr can be a difference maker later on in a match.
Udyr is low on the totem pole of popular jungle champions since his kit requires a lot of patience and well, using potions a bit more than others in the role. He’s a slow starting kind of champion that takes a bit longer than usual to clear the jungle compared to others like Warwick, Sejuani, or Kindred.
Considering Udyr is free to play in this week’s champion rotation in League of Legends, he’s worth giving a shot if you’ve never played as him before. Just remember, before you take on opposing Summoners in real matches, play with some friends or even against the A.I. at the very least to get used to everything he brings to the table.
When it comes to building items for Udyr, make sure to focus on ones that emphasize Attack Damage and Attack Speed. Remember, at any point in time, he can switch stances to attack fast, shield himself, increase his movement speed, or even dish out area-of-effect damage to enemies in front and around him. Knowing when to switch depending on the situation is key to having success with Udyr.

Regardless which stance you have, you want to make sure when you do attack enemy champions, you have items that will make him attack even faster and of course, harder.
When it comes to which Runes to have, make sure to equip Greater Mark of Attack Damage (9), Greater Glyph of Magic Resist (9), Greater Seal of Armor (9), and Greater Quintessence of Attack Speed (3).
