With the start of a new ranked season, a lot of people are looking for that extra edge to help them climb effectively. We’ll give you a review of some great websites and tools that you can use to get your own champion stats, information about the meta, and learn builds.

Placements are well underway for most of us as the start of a new season’s ranked grind begins anew. If you have already finished all – or some – of your placement games, you might be disappointed or excited to climb harder. The best way to start the season on the upswing, rather than setting yourself in a hole, is to use the proper tools.

Luckily for you, with the availability of Riot’s API, plenty of ingenious folks have created tools to track your statistics, aggregate the best and most popular builds, and even track pick and ban rates. Since there are so many of these tools out there, the question is which of these are the best for you to use in helping yourself climb?

More from League of Legends

1. OP.GG

The grandaddy of them all, OP.GG is a site that should be bookmarked in every serious League player’s web browser. Not only does it track your stats over all the seasons that you’ve played League of Legends, but it also gives you an estimate of your elo, gives you information on champion builds, and gives you very precise stats from your recent games played. Whether you want to track your KDA on Evelynn or just see how many games in a row you’ve won OP.GG should be your first stop.

2. U.GG

While perhaps not as drilled-down as OP.GG, U.GG does a great job of tracking builds for champions and sorting them by pro players, one-tricks, and streamers. They’re also starting to develop their own summoner profiles so you might be able to soon see their grades of your performance in ranked games!

3. Lolskill

Lolskill doesn’t give a ton of precise stats, but they do give you a grade for each champion and each match that you play over the course of the year. While these home-brewed stats might seem arbitrary, they actually do a fairly good job of indicating how well you did, correlating positively to both wins and losses, as well as grades and KDAs.

4. MetaSRC

One of our primary tools for building the tier lists that we drop every patch, MetaSRC breaks out the “power” rating of every champion in every role that they are played. These ratings can be adjusted by elo, so make sure to tailor the tier list to your rank in soloQ.

5. Korean Builds

Exactly what it sounds like. This site gives you the builds being used by players in the best competitive region in the world are using. There may be no better place to go while in champ select if you’re unsure of what runes to take.

6. Mobalytics

A truly unique analytics site, they not only do tier lists and guides they also have their own unique metrics to evaluate your playstyle. Whereas the sites above will just tell you your KDA and CS, Mobalytics will let you know how aggressive you are, how good a farmer you are, and how good your objective-focus is.
