League of Legends champion profile: Soraka, the Starchild
By Josh Tyler
If you’re a new League of Legends player trying to learn, or just a veteran trying to refine skills about a champion you’re unfamiliar with, we have you covered. Today, we introduce Soraka, the Starchild.
There are a lot of champions in the League of Legends universe to pick if you’re a new player. If you’re someone who loves healing, unicorns, and flinging bananas at your enemies, Soraka is the perfect champion for you.
An enchanter mage who focuses more on healing her allies than killing her enemies, Soraka may be squishy and defensive, but she will frustrate your enemies to no end. If that seems like a fun time, here is a quick breakdown of Soraka, the Starchild.

Lore
From the celestial dimensions, Soraka arrived at Mount Targon from the skies above. The Starchild seeks to protect the mortal races from their own more violent instincts and spread the virtues of compassion and mercy to everyone she meets. Through her travels, Soraka has seen a world full of struggles, greed, and evil, but maintains her sense of compassion, even opting to heal her enemies out of kindness. More than a mortal, Soraka still believes the people of Runeterra have yet to reach their full potential.
