League of Legends LCS finals preview: How strong is the Liquid playoff buff?

Incredibly, Doublelift is one of the few Liquid players not benefitting from the playoff buff this year. His statistics, as compared to the regular season, are slightly down, particularly when it comes to kills, gold, and damage.
Now, a lot of that can be attributed to him getting more help from carries on the top side of the map, with Impact’s improved performance, Xmithie’s dominance, and Jensen crushing. It can also be attributed to the fact that Doublelift’s stats during the regular season were absolutely insane so even a strong but not godly post-season performance would look pitiful by comparison.

On the other hand, we have Zven for TSM. Unquestionably the team’s second-best player behind Bjergsen, Zven is looking to get his first taste of glory in North America and become the first player to win a title in NA and EU.
This playoff season Zven has also underperformed his regular season pace. He’s averaging under a death per game, but his gold and kill numbers have dipped compared to the 18 regular season games he played.
Like Doublelift, Zven put up ridiculous numbers in the regular season, so him merely putting up great numbers in the post-season shouldn’t be a cause for concern to TSM fans. In fact, TSM fans should be encouraged by how well Zven should match up with Doublelift in lane, considering the advantage his team has in the side lanes.
