Who they are
Bombers won the 2019 Split 1 Playoffs for the Oceanic Pro League (OPL) with a 3-0 sweep of ORDER. As the number one seed entering the playoffs, Bombers were guaranteed a spot in the final match. They posted an impressive 19-2 record during the regular season, but both losses came against Chief Esports.
Chief was thus Bombers’ biggest threat, and entered the gauntlet as the number two seed, needing only one series win to create another showdown for the championship. However, it was not to be thanks to Cinderella story down under.
Starting as the lowest seed in the tournament, ORDER shocked Oceania by beating every single team in the gauntlet up to the finals, including Chief in the semifinals. Unfortunately, Bombers let Cinderella know she wasn’t going to dance with a prince at this ball. and made the most of that advantage by sweeping an ORDER team that had run the gauntlet, upsetting an opponent in each playoff match.
