Shyvana was born from the egg of a dragon, but instead of a baby dragon, a humanoid girl emerged. Raised by a mage who stole the egg from her mother, Shyvana quickly demonstrated that her dragon heritage was not extinct, as she was able to switch between her human form and her true dragon form at will.

After her father passed, Shyvana wandered the world, searching for meaning, until she stumbled upon a dying Demacian soldier. It wasn’t until later that she learned she had saved the life of the crown prince Jarvan IV and he invited her into his inner circle. Shyvana now serves uneasily in his royal guard, but she still struggles to find acceptance among the suspicious people of Demacia.
