Support

Finally, we have the other half of the bot lane, the supports. Although it might seem odd to be ranking these guys based on how much gold they collect or damage they do, remember it’s all relative to the other supports, so it’s as useful as grading mids by how good at they are at controlling vision.

1. Kim “Olleh” Joo-sung (Golden Guardians)

Olleh jumped out in front of the pack of supports in Week 1 by just…not dying. Seriously, he went 3/0/15 on the weekend, which means we couldn’t even give him an aKDA.

Beyond that, though, he was in the top three of supports in terms of vision score per minute, gold difference at 10, and XP difference at 10. He had an incredible weekend, putting him at the top of our support tier list. If only we could put him and Doublelift on a team together, that duo would be unstoppable.

2. Vincent “Biofrost” Wang (CLG)
3. Tristan “Zeyzal” Stidam (Cloud9)
4. Terry “BIG” Chuong (OpTic Gaming)
5. Jo “CoreJJ” Yong-in (Team Liquid)
6. Nickolas “Hakuho” Surgent (Echo Fox)
7. Andy “Smoothie” Ta (TSM)
8. Juan “JayJ” Guibert (FlyQuest)
9. Philippe “Vulcan” Laflamme (Clutch Gaming)

One player who stood out among supports, in a not-so-good way, was Vulcan, who went 0/10/6 in Week 1. He also posted some pretty bad laning stats, such as a -116 gold difference and -87 XP difference at 10. Although Clutch struggled as a team, Vulcan certainly needs to up his game.

10. Zaqueri “Aphromoo” Black
