Simple Champion Changes

Aatrox

"Passive – Deathbringer Stance Cooldown: 15 seconds –> 24-12 (level 1-18) seconds"

Makes him have less healing early, a bit more late. Considering that he’ll likely have Death’s Dance by level 18, I don’t think these offset buffs will be that incredible. It’s likely a straight-up nerf to his early game.

"R – World Ender Healing Bonus: All incoming healing –> Self-healing only."

Have you tried playing against an Aatrox with Soraka or Sona on his team and R on? Thank God we don’t have to anymore. Or at least, it’ll be far less annoying to face after Patch 9.12.

Ashe

"W – Volley Cooldown: 15/12.5/10/7.5/5 seconds –> 14/11.5/9/6.5/4 seconds"

Simple buff to her early game, considering this is usually her first max. Going to make her pretty obnoxious to play against in lane.

Caitlyn

"Base Stats Attack Damage: 58 –> 60"

Oh, two AD. That’s gonna save her.

Irelia

"E – Flawless Duet Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10 seconds –> 18/16.5/15/13.5/12 seconds Range: 850 –> 775"

Wow, that is actually a pretty massive nerf. Considering she usually maxes this second, she’s going to be stuck at an 18-second cooldown early. Plus, losing 75 range to get those max range stuns (and resets on her Q) can be really tough if she wants to all-in early. The nerfs in Patch 9.12 might not kill Irelia, but it will very likely hurt.

Karma

"Q – Inner Flame Slow: 25% –> 35% E – Inspire Cost: 60/65/70/75/80 mana –> 50/55/60/65/70 mana Movement Speed Duration: 1.5 seconds –> 2.5 seconds (now matches shield duration)."

At a win rate of 49.00%, Karma is amongst the worst supports on Patch 9.11 and is by far the worst mage support in solo queue. Increasing her Q slow is very nice, but the biggest change here is the 1-second movement speed duration increase on her E – Inspire. This not only aids when trying to avoid incoming damage from opposing laners, but can also be key in chasing fleeing foes and securing kills.

The mana cost reduction is also perfect for the support, as Karma is a very mana-hungry mage in the bottom lane. These changes won’t make her an S tier support instantly, but she’ll constantly be on every support players minds throughout Patch 9.12, and could even venture into the top and mid lane if the buffs are strong enough.
