League of Legends: LEC Week 2 games to watch – can Fnatic keep winning?
By Alexej Vogel
The LEC Summer Split has been going for only 1 week yet, though, the League of Legends action is hyped as ever. Now we take a look at the top games in week 2.
Fnatic vs Origen

This match is definitely game of the week. Both teams are expected to not only make playoffs but also finish in the top 3. With G2 Esports almost certainly taking the first place, again, these squads will have to win against almost everyone else. Fnatic is finally putting Tim “Nemesis” Lipovšek on a carry – and it works. Meanwhile, Origen is insanely good at fighting early to create advantages for themselves, which is more profitable than ever in the current meta. Do not miss out on this one as it will definitely be hyped up, and maybe even an indicator on who is going to take the second place this time around.
Splyce vs Schalke 04
Unlike the previous match, this one will not indicate towards the top standings in the LEC and neither will it present such peak League of Legends, but it is no less important for the ladder. Both organizations will aim towards making playoffs and in terms of skill, it is fair to say they are evenly matched. Just like in the Spring Split, the middle ground will be insanely hard to predict as almost everyone has a realistic shot at making top 6.
SK Gaming vs Rogue
Before their huge roster changes, I probably would have handed this matchup towards SK without thinking too much about it. However, Rogue looks much scarier now as they will take revenge for their miserable performance in Spring. Though, especially this year, there will be no mistakes granted when shooting for playoffs in the LEC and Rogue has to show if they can consistently play solid League of Legends.
Origen vs Misfits
On paper, this match is definitely heavily in favor of Origen. They played almost as well as G2 Esports in the latest Split whereas Misfits did not even attend playoffs. Nevertheless, Misfits has a stacked LEC roster with tons of talent and experience in League of Legends, so we should never write them off too early – they might just swing back.
Be sure to not miss any of these games!
