Skin sale Week of 7/1 – which League of Legends skins are worth buying?

A new skin sale has started, so we’re breaking down which League of Legends skins are the best deals right now!

Riot announced on July 1 that a select number of League of Legends skins would be going on sale in the shop for the next week. We’re looking to see whether these skins are good, how rare they are, and how good the discount is to see whether they’re worth a purchase.

Arcade Ahri

Rarity: Epic
Discount: 40%
Quality: Dope
Should you buy it?: Heck yeah! The Arcade skin line is probably among the most unique and cool skins in the game, so getting this one at a discount is definitely worth it.

Super Galaxy Gnar

Rarity: Epic
Discount: 40%
Quality: Meh
Should you buy it?: Probably not worth it, Gnar has plenty of other cool skins and the Super Galaxy skin line is probably one of the weakest in the game.

Arcade Sona

Rarity: Epic
Discount: 50%
Quality: Dope
Should you buy it?: Another Arcade skin up for sale? And for an even bigger discount than the Ahri skin? Is this even a question?

Jade Fang Cassiopeia

Rarity: Common
Discount: 35%
Quality: Decent
Should you buy it?: Maybe if you’re a big Cass fan. She doesn’t have a ton of good skins, so for a discount, there are worse ways to spend your RP.

Arctic Ops Varus

Rarity: Epic
Discount: 60%
Quality: Meh
Should you buy it?: The Arctic Ops skins are some of the oldest in the games and really didn’t age that well. For the cheap, though, it’s not too bad.

Mecha Malphite

Rarity: Epic
Discount: 60%
Quality: Good
Should you buy it?: It’s a bit above meh, and probably one of Malphite’s best skins. Getting it at a big discount is definitely worth considering.

Blood Moon Elise

Rarity: Common
Discount: 50%
Quality: Bleh
Should you buy it?: Elise has a lot of skins out there, so getting one of her cheaper ones isn’t that great a bargain. It’s one of the cheapest skins you can buy this week, so it’s nice for any leftover RP you might have.

Dragonblade Talon

Rarity: Common
Discount: 50%
Quality: Good
Should you buy it?: It’s an older skin, but as part of the Lunar Revel skin line it is part of a decent skin line. Another cheap skin that is worth spending that unspent RP on.

Guqin Sona

Rarity: Common
Discount: 55%
Quality: Bleh
Should you buy it?: Nah, especially when you could get Arcade Sona for less than 200 RP more.

Silverfang Akali

Rarity: Common
Discount: 60%
Quality: Meh
Should you buy it?: This isn’t a big knock on this skin, it’s a perfectly decent one. But Akali has a lot of other, cooler skins that you could buy, even when this one is on sale.

Braum Lionheart

Rarity: Common
Discount: 50%
Quality: Bleh
Should you buy it?: Here we have the cheapest skin available this week. It’s definitely not the sexiest of Braum’s skins, and that’s saying something for a guy who has very few decent skins. So…nah.

Warden Sivir

Rarity: Common
Discount: 50%
Quality: Meh
Should you buy it?: Hard pass, especially given how many other, cooler skins Sivir has available.

Worldbreaker Nautilus

Rarity: Common
Discount: 50%
Quality: Good
Should you buy it?: This is a yes! This is easily Nautilus’s second-best skin behind Astro Nautilus so getting it for half-off is worth.

Bandito Fiddlesticks

Rarity: Classic
Discount: 50%
Quality: Good
Should you buy it?: An older skin, but it’s got this unique charm unlike a lot of other dull skins. I’d still take it if you’re a fan of the Fiddle and classic skins.

Emumu

Rarity: Classic
Discount: 50%
Quality: Meh
Should you buy it?: Amumu’s oldest skin, but this is by far his worst. There are tons of other Amumu skins way better than this one. Save your money here.
