League of Legends Champion Profile: Sivir, the Battle Mistress
Game Stage Power
Strength in Early Game/Laning – Low
You’re not picking Sivir to dominate the bottom lane 2v2 and snowball the game out of your opponent’s control, in fact you should be aiming for the opposite. Relax in the early game, play some lofi hip hop beats to study/relax to, and focus on farming and scaling. Your support is probably going to want to fight and int, so ping them back and inform them that Sivir is not that type of champion, and instead wait for the 3v2s to come available when your jungler inevitably heads for the south side of the map.
The majority of the first 15 minutes of the game will be spent on the back foot due to Sivir’s tiny attack range and mana issues. Playing around the jungler’s position on the map is key; operate with a pushing wave when your jungler is on the bottom half of the map, play much more defensive when you’re unaware of the enemy jungler’s positioning.
Ultimately, until Sivir completes Essence Reaver, she’s pretty useless and vulnerable. While landing the odd Boomerang Blade might give you presence in the lane that can be taken advantage of, the real aim of the early game is to survive and scale.
Strength in Mid Game/Skirmishes – Medium
It’s the mid game, you have an Essence Reaver, Berserker’s Greaves and Rapid Firecannon, life is good. But, you’re not there yet. You can handle yourself in mid game skirmishes and teamfights around important dragons, but Sivir can’t single-handedly carry fights with just two items.

The goal right now is to push out waves and maintain control of the map using Boomerang Blade and Ricochet to out-push any opponent. Move around the map with your team and be ready to skirmish around dragons and towers.
This is the point where you’re most vulnerable as the enemy team will look to kick off fights by engaging on the main carry, so be prepared to push E – Spell Shield at any point and avoid crowd control. While Sivir won’t be dishing out huge damage in these skirmishes, she’s still a threat, particularly with some lucky crits, so be ready to position well in fights and hit priority targets.
Strength in Late Game/Teamfights – Very High
100% crit chance – it’s time. Sivir’s job is to win late game teamfights and it’s not difficult to achieve just that when you’ve picked up five items and are engaging around key objectives like Baron Nashor or inhibitor turrets. Nonetheless, her ability to carry late game teamfights means she’ll always have a target on her back, so positioning is key.
The goal is to hit the closest target while kiting and utilising her W – Ricochet to bounce auto attacks towards squishier enemy champions, hoping they crit. With a 100% critical strike chance, enemies will melt, and thus Sivir has the potential to rip through her opponents in seconds if left alone to auto attack.
When the opportunity presents itself don’t hesitate to press R – On the Hunt to force your team to start a fight and chase down the enemy. Whenever an opponent looks slightly out of position, this is the perfect time to engage and look for a single pick or larger teamfight, opening up objectives like Baron Nashor.
With Sivir on the team, any teamfight can swing in your favour provided she’s given the opportunity to auto attack several opponents with her Ricochet bounces. For this reason, Sivir is often looked towards as a late game win condition and is so prevalent in high elo solo queue and competitive play.
