For those of you starting your ranked grind in Teamfight Tactics, here are the Items to build in this new League of Legends game mode.

While Teamfight Tactics purports to be a mode with a lot of emphasis on Classes and Origins, Items are a key ingredient to success in this new League of Legends game mode. Get the right items on the right champions and you can cruise to victory, while combining for a bad item can make a strong champion useless. If you’re not sure which items you need to prioritize getting in Teamfight Tactics, we’re here to rank them all!

As a caveat, we won’t be ranking the component items, like B.F. Sword or Giant’s Belt, because they’re kind of hard to talk about in isolation. But, in terms of upgraded items, we’ll rank every single one based on the passive, stats, and what you want to use them for.

More from Gameplay Guides

30. Cursed Blade

What it does: Attacks have a 20% chance to Shrink an enemy, reducing their star level by one.
Recipe: Negatron Cloak + Recurve Bow
Works well on: Assassins
Reason for rank: This passive is useless as hell. You need to be attacking a champion with multiple stars just to get the chance to reduce his size.

Plus, you’re pairing Recurve Bow (which gives one of the most valuable stats in Teamfight Tactics, attack speed) with its worst combination in the game. Save the Bow and combine it with an actual item.

29. Hush

What it does: Attacks have a 30% chance to Silence the enemy
Recipe: Negatron Cloak + Tear of the Goddess
Works well on: Knights, Guardians
Reason for rank: Again, this passive sucks. You have to be attacking that champion as they are about to ult. And even then you only get a chance to Silence them.
