League of Legends: LCK Week 5 player power rankings
By Josh Tyler
Who are the best League of Legends players in each position in the LCK after Week 5?
Now that the LCK has passed its halfway mark, the best and worst Korean League of Legends teams are firmly established. Griffin, Damwon, and Sandbox sit at the top. Jin Air, Hanwha, and KT Rolster sit at the bottom. But which players are driving their teams – both good and bad?

We’ll try to answer that by ranking every single player in the LCK, based off our own proprietary statistics, developed from the traditional stats available for all major regions. We explained these statistics a bit more in the first LCS breakdown, but you can see the full statistics here. All underlying statistics are per our friends at Oracle’s Elixir.
Top lane
1. Jang “Nuguri” Ha-gwon (Damwon Gaming)
2. Choi “Sword” Sung-won (Griffin)
3. Kim “Kiin” Gi-in (Afreeca Freecs)
4. Park “Summit” Woo-tae (Sandbox Gaming)
5. Kim “Khan” Dong-ha (SK Telecom T1)
6. Kim “Rascal” Kwang-hee (Kingzone DragonX)
7. Lee “CuVee” Seong-jin (Gen.G)
CuVee had one heck of a week for himself, going a combined 12/4/5 in their two-game upset series .win over Griffin. Just a couple of weeks ago, CuVee was one of the worst top laners in the LCK, but now he’s firmly put himself back into that top half of the LCK with his Week 5 performance.
8. Lee “Flame” Ho-jong (Damwon Gaming)
9. Hwang “Kingen” Seong-hoon (KT Rolster)
10. Kim “SoHwan” Jun-yeong (Hanwha Life Esports)
11. Lee “TaNa” Sang-wook (Jin Air Greenwings)
12. Heo “Lindarang” Man-heung (Jin Air Greenwings)
13. Park “Thal” Kwon-hyuk (Hanwha Life Esports)
14. Song “Smeb” Kyung-ho (KT Rolster)
With the lowest adjusted KDA and kill efficiency (adjusted KDA times adjusted kill participation) of any LCK top laner, Smeb‘s regression is one of the biggest reasons for KT’s faltering this season. Despite having a very high ratio of solo kills to total kills (indicating he is able to win a lot of 1v1s) his 51.4% kill participation is the lowest of all top laners. Plus, he averages the second-most deaths per game in that position.
