Who are the best League of Legends players in each position in the LCK after Week 6?

The SKT late-season buff is in full force, Griffin is slumping, and Jin Air might not be able to beat TSM 2/10 games. We discussed how each team in the LCK has been faring as the playoffs approach, but what the players. It’s time to break down which League of Legends players over in LCK have been carrying (or dragging down) their team.

More from International Tournaments

We’ll try to answer that by ranking every single player in the LCK, based off our own proprietary statistics, developed from the traditional stats available for all major regions. We explained these statistics a bit more in the first LCS breakdown, but you can see the full statistics here. All underlying statistics are per our friends at Oracle’s Elixir.

Top lane

1. Jang “Nuguri” Ha-gwon (Damwon Gaming)
2. Kim “Kiin” Gi-in (Afreeca Freecs)
3. Choi “Sword” Sung-won (Griffin)

In examining why Griffin has been slumping as of late, one obvious place people will be looking is their top laner Sword. In their 2-1 series loss to Afreeca Freecs, Sword went 0/4/1 over two games on Aatrox, while his opponent Kiin went off on Jayce. As a result, he was subbed out in their second series of the week in favor of substitute top laner Doran.

4. Park “Summit” Woo-tae (Sandbox Gaming)
5. Kim “Khan” Dong-ha (SK Telecom T1)
6. Kim “Rascal” Kwang-hee (Kingzone DragonX)
7. Hwang “Kingen” Seong-hoon (KT Rolster)
8. Kim “SoHwan” Jun-yeong (Hanwha Life Esports)
9. Lee “CuVee” Seong-jin (Gen.G)
10. Lee “Flame” Ho-jong (Damwon Gaming)
11. Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon (Griffin)

Speaking of Doran, in his first action of the LCK Summer Split his team fell to Damwon Gaming 0-2. However, Doran himself didn’t exactly underperform, going 2/3/1 and 5/5/1 in his two games. The fact that he did that well going against the best top laner in the LCK, Nuguri, is enough to create something of a controversy in the top lane as Griffin attempts to right the ship.

12. Lee “TaNa” Sang-wook (Jin Air Greenwings)
13. Park “Thal” Kwon-hyuk (Hanwha Life Esports)
14. Song “Smeb” Kyung-ho (KT Rolster)
15. Heo “Lindarang” Man-heung (Jin Air Greenwings)

Jungle

1. Moon “Cuzz” Woo-chan (Kingzone DragonX)
2. Lee “Tarzan” Seung-yong (Griffin)
3. Kim “Clid” Tae-min (SK Telecom T1)

Incredibly, our jungle rankings were completely unchanged from Week 5, Clid did move up to the third spot, climbing over Sandbox’s OnFleek. While guys like Faker, Teddy, and Effort are getting plenty of credit (deservedly so) Clid has turned around his play massively in these last few weeks. Over the last two weeks, Clid has never posted a game with more than one death, and has five games where he went deathless.

4. Kim “OnFleek” Jang-gyeom (Sandbox Gaming)
5. Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu (Damwon Gaming)
6. Lee “Dread” Jin-hyeok (Afreeca Freecs)
7. Kim “Malrang” Geun-seong (Jin Air Green Wings)
8. Kang “Haru” Min-seung (SK Telecom T1)
9. Son “Punch” Min-hyuk (Damwon Gaming)
10. Kim “Seize” Chan-hee (Jin Air Green Wings)
11. Yoon “SeongHwan” Seong-hwan (Gen.G)
12. Eom “UmTi” Seong-hyun (KT Rolster)
13. Go “Score” Dong-bin (KT Rolster)
14. Han “Peanut” Wang-ho (Gen.G)
15. Kim “Moojin” Moo-jin (Hanwha Life Esports)
16. Kim “bonO” Gi-beom (Hanwha Life Esports)
