League of Legends Patch 9.17 brought Pantheon to the Teamfight Tactics Arena, but how good is he?

Pantheon came crashing into the Teamfight Tactics landscape like the wrecking ball he is in League of Legends. Between the addition of this new unit, the buffs to several classes and champions, and the other systemic changes from Patch 9.17, how will the meta shake out?

More from League of Legends

Just like we do for League of Legends proper, for Patch 9.17 we have taken tier lists ranking the Teamfight Tactics champions, normalized their scores, and then averaged them. This gives us our final tier list (the raw data can be found here), not based on personal opinion or our own proprietary algorithm, but rather the general read of the community as to which champions are strongest and which are weakest.

This ranking is the average of the tier lists from four sites (LeagueofGraphs, TFTactics.gg, Mobalytics, and Rankedboost) that we consider to be sufficiently reliable for use in these rankings. Because Teamfight Tactics has such a short patch cycle, we will not do much of a deep dive into buffs and nerfs for champions, but instead, just give the straight rankings – both within their cost tier and within the game overall. We’ll also give some insight as to which popular comps the top champions fit into and which top-tier items those champions synergize well with.
