Rating and ranking all 24 top laners at the League of Legends World Championship

6. Phạm “Zeros” Minh Lộc (GAM Esports) – 83 OVR
Although his laning score (1.88) is below that of Rockky, I think Zeros could prove himself to be the best laning top in the world. While his aKDA is far below average (2.52) thanks to dying far more than average (3.1 deaths per game), Zeros is a player we should all be excited to watch, especially given his affinity for hyper-aggressive champions like Renekton, Akali, and Camille.

5. Martin “Wunder” Hansen (G2 Esports) – 83 OVR
Wunder is considered by many to be the best top laner in EU, and certainly, he is the best laning top to come out of the LEC. However, Wunder is also one of the worst tops at the World Championship when it comes to aKP (92%), largely due to the fact that he is one of only four top laners with a raw kill participation below 50%. This could also indicate why his income and damage numbers are pedestrian.
4. Kim “GimGoon” Han-saem (FunPlus Phoenix) – 83 OVR
The player with the best adjusted KDA among all top laners at the World Championship, GimGoon‘s 4.13 aKDA is thanks to dying the second-least per game of top laners at Worlds (his 1.8 trails only Sword’s 1.74). While he doesn’t do anything else fantastically compared to other top laners, GimGoon is great at doing his job and not costing his team.
