Riot announced a new weekly mission format for League of Legends which will allow you to get prestige tokens.

Prestige skins in League of Legends are hard to come by, they’re expensive, and they might not always be worth the price (even though some of them definitely are). Thankfully, Riot is getting into the holiday spirit to allow its players to earn prestige tokens that can be used to unlock prestige skins for free.

Today, Rioter Xenogenic tweeted that Riot would be changing the daily “Win of the Day” mission to become a “Win of the Week” missions due to the busy schedule of the holiday season. Here’s how it will work.

You’ll have a “Win of the Week” mission available for the next four weeks. You can get your “Win of the Week” each week by either winning seven games or playing fourteen. These weekly wins will grant 200 tokens plus you’ll also be able to get daily win tokens (increased from 18 to 28).

This means, overall, you should be able to earn about 940 prestige tokens just by playing during this holiday season, if you manage to complete the “Weekly Win” challenges. However, Xenogenic also added that you could get an additional 200 tokens from the pass itself and another 300 from the pass missions, meaning you could earn up to 1440 prestige tokens through this pass without having to pay a dime. Plus, don’t forget, wins on Summoners Rift and ARAM will also give you some bonus tokens (12 and 8, respectively).

With prestige skins costing 2000 tokens and chromas costing 300, this event could be a great way to get that Prestige skin that you’ve had your eyes on for a steep discount. Xenogenic also confirmed that you will be able to earn tokens from the Poro King game mode that will be available to play during the holiday season.

As a reminder, this will be the last event that you can use to collect prestige tokens before they expire in 2020, so make sure to get in your gaming now. The event will start tomorrow, December 12, and will run through January 13, 2020.
