We take a look at the League of Legends jungle meta in Patch 9.24.

Junglers are still adjusting to all the preseason changes in Patch 9.24, from decreased camp XP and increased respawn timers to the Elemental Rift. All of these changes have forced players to either fall back onto their comfort picks or find the strongest pick if they want to improve their play. If you fall into the latter camp, here is how we would rank the junglers in League of Legends on the current patch.

Jungle tier list

S tier: Ekko, Olaf (⇑), Elise (⇑⇒)
A+ tier: Shaco (⇐), Kha’Zix, Warwick (⇑), Lee Sin (⇓⇒), Rek’Sai (⇒)
A tier: Zac (⇐), Master Yi, Nocturne (⇑), Nunu & Willump

Observations

More from Blog of Legends

  • It’s refreshing to see so much diversity in play-style at the top of our tier list. We have fast-clearing farmers like Olaf and Warwick along with very gank-heavy early junglers like Elise and Lee Sin leading the pack.
  • While there is diversity in early versus late game junglers, the meta right now is almost entirely Divers, with half of the top 10 being in that class. After that, we have three Assassins, one Vanguard tank, and one Skirmisher.
  • The biggest drop in our ranking from the last patch belongs to Sylas, who fell from high-F tier to the very low-F tier. Basically, Sylas went from being a troll pick jungler to being a reportable offense pick.
  • Ivern had the biggest rise in his rating in Patch 9.24, going from the low-D tier to the B tier. He actually has the second-best win rate among junglers in the current patch (53.1%) but of course that comes with the caveat that his pick rate (0.7%) is among the lowest in the role. As usual, Ivern is played by a handful of enthusiasts and no one else, but at least those enthusiasts are thriving.
  • Speaking of win rates, Ivern is only outpaced by Shaco’s 53.3% win rate in Patch 9.24, as the Demon Jester continues to be a menace. The lowest win rate, unfortunately, belongs to Qiyana at just a hair under 41%.
