Take the fate of your elo into your own hands by playing one of the top five AD Carry champions in League of Legends on Patch 9.24.

New year, new ADC! League of Legends has always really revolved around marksmen and Patch 9.24 is no different! Mages, tanks, bruisers have all made appearances in the bottom lane over the last few seasons, but long-range AD Carries are back on top in the current meta.

5 Senna

The general rule of League of Legends is recent releases almost always have high win rates due to overloaded and overpowered kits. Senna is another example of that rule.

Although she was first designed as a Support champion, Senna has found that her strengths also lend to being a strong AD Carry due to her scaling attack range, high base damage and strong AD burst on her Q – Piercing Darkness. Combine this with the safety provided by Curse of the Black Mist both in lane and during team fights, and it comes as no surprise that Senna is a tricky customer in the current meta.

4 Miss Fortune

While strong-scaling AD Carries float to the top of the tier list, Miss Fortune somehow finds herself nestled into the top five despite relying on a more unorthodox approach to the marksman role. Although she leans towards a crit build nowadays, you wouldn’t exactly list her amongst the strongest scaling carries alongside the likes of Jinx, Sivir, and Tristana. So, what’s her secret?

Lane control basically. Players simply don’t know how to contend with Miss Fortune’s E slow and Double Ups throughout the laning phase and, as a result, she builds a gold/kill lead in the early stages.

Usually, this wouldn’t be enough for an MF to take control of the game, but more often than not you’ll find this particular marksman paired with an equally aggressive Support who can snowball just as well, such as Brand or Zyra, leading to an insurmountable bot lane advantage. To top it all off, she can single-handedly win a team fight with a well-placed Bullet Time.

3 Vayne

Duel potential. Late game DPS. Relative safety in lane. Vayne does it all, so it comes as no surprise that she’s one of the top five ADC champions on Patch 9.24.

Ultimately, the secret to Vayne is to relax in the early stages of the game and look to scale. Grab a Blade of the Ruined King and Guinsoo’s Rageblade then turn on the style. Look to duel any and every champion in a 1v1 while supporting your team around key objectives.

Once you’ve reached the late game, the game is in your hands due to the huge DPS provided by Silver Bolts.

2 Caitlyn

In a world of early game power and one-two item power spikes, those ADCs that thrive in lane will undoubtedly find the most success. Not only does Caitlyn dominate almost all lane match-ups, but she also scales well enough that she’s worth picking in the majority of scenarios.

While she doesn’t have the highest win rate on Patch 9.24 (50.63%), her 27.3% play rate illustrates how highly marksman mains rate the Sheriff of Piltover in the current state of play. If you want to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and dominate from minute one, Caitlyn is the perfect choice.

1 Aphelios

Surprise, surprise! Riot Games’ latest addition to League of Legends is a broken mess! An all too familiar story for the player base at this point.

Needless to say, if Aphelios is somehow left open in your champion select, you should probably pick him up due to his incredibly high base damage and strong DPS from his selection of weapons. We don’t truly know how powerful this new champion truly is thanks to his monumental 65.2% ban rate, but his 51.03% win rate suggests he’s a strong candidate for the #1 AD Carry on the current patch.
