As a new decade begins, here are the 50 best professional League of Legends players in the LCS history.

In its first 10 years of existence, professional League of Legends has become the undisputed number one esport in the world. Although it may not boast the best competition (yet), the North American LCS (now just the LCS) was, for many western, fans the first introduction to professional League of Legends.

Professional teams and players were competing back in Seasons 1 and 2, but the LCS in its full glory truly came to fruition in Season 3 with the first season of organized league play. Since then, we have had seven seasons worth of gameplay including hundreds of players on dozens of teams (some of them are even still around!). But the big question is, which of these players are among the best we’ve seen in LCS play?

To that end, I will be ranking the top 50 players to ever play in the LCS. The ranking will be based on statistical performance, individual and team accolades, and career longevity and consistency.

As one caveat, I will only be considering players who have played at least one full season in the LCS and the majority of their professional career was spent in North America. So players like Bang or CoreJJ would not make this list since they’ve spent the majority of their pro careers in the LCK. Additionally, this list will not include players who had all or most of their career take place before the LCS proper was founded, so Season 1 and 2 juggernauts like Chauster, Reginald, HotshotGG, and the like won’t qualify. Finally, the ranking is based purely on their playing career, not considering what they’ve gone on to do after in coaching, streaming, or commentary.
