We take a look at the best AD Carries after Patch 10.4 has gone live in League of Legends.
Another round of Aphelios nerfs came in Patch 10.4, but this League of Legends patch also gave buffs to Caitlyn and some common bot lane runes. With these few changes, we look to see how the meta of AD Carries has changed.

- Well, the nerfs finally caught up to Aphelios, finally knocking him out of that top-three that had been so prevalent last patch. The recently-buffed Caitlyn has replaced him in that top-three.
- Unsurprisingly, Aphelios had the biggest drop in our ranking for any ADC in Patch 10.4, going from A+ tier down to mid-B tier. His win rate dropped over 1.5% after those nerfs, to under 48% in this patch.
- Also unsurprisingly, Caitlyn got the biggest boost to her ranking after the buffs. She moved up from low-A tier to high-A+ tier and she got nearly a 2% win rate bump in one patch.
- Cassiopeia is the winningest ADC in Patch 10.4 (54.3% win rate) followed by Twitch (53%) and then Miss Fortune (52.5%). However, MF is the only one that has a pick rate over 2% (35.4% is bigger than 2%, right?).
- The worst win rate ADC is Xayah, at 46.6% with a 6.1% pick rate. Trailing her are Kai’Sa (46.7% win rate, 15% pick rate) and Tristana (46.8% win rate, 1.5% pick rate). In all likelihood, Tristana is going to need buffs soon considering her poor win rate and low pick rate.
Buffed Champions
Caitlyn
As we noted above, the Sheriff of Piltover got the biggest spike in both win rate and ranking in Patch 10.4. Of course, as the only ADC that actually got buffed this patch (her base attack speed was doubled) she was a natural choice to rise in priority.
Nerfed Champions
Aphelios
A ton of nerfs came to Aphelios in Patch 10.4, including his Calibrum no longer granting an auto-attack reset after consuming a mark, the Crescendum’s turret range and health, and the range on Moonlight Vigil. That naturally caused him to have the biggest drop in our ranking and a huge win rate drop. We’ll have to wait and see if his ranking stabilizes after this round of nerfs, or if Riot will elect to give the Living Weapon some power back.
Methodology: These rankings were determined by finding the average standardized score of a champion from nine different tier lists from sites around the internet. This is done by assigning a certain weight to each different score, rank, or grade given by these sites (for instance, both a “Diamond” rating and “A” grade would be worth a 90 score). The standardized score is then determined by looking at the average score given to all champions in every role by that site as well as the standard deviation of scores given (so that sites that give out more high grades will not have their As be worth the same as a site that gives out very few high grades).
The full, underlying data can be found here. This link also includes the full listing of how the scores are assigned. Champions must be rated by at least half of the sites audited in order to qualify for our tier list.
