League of Legends: Everything You Can Get in the Galaxies Event

The Galaxies Event is live in League of Legends! Here is what you can get and what it costs!

The newest event in League of Legends is live, with the opportunity to earn new skins, chromas, Blue Essence, keys and key fragments, and so much more! But the Galaxies Event will also alter the direction of the cosmos permanently! The event will run through April 27, so check out what you can earn during this event!

Lux Skins

This Galaxies Event brings us not one, but two new Lux skins, which is great for all the Lux mains who had so few skins to choose from already (rolls eyes). That’s right, Cosmic Lux and Dark Cosmic Lux are both available for purchase right now and that battle will be the centerpiece of the Galaxies Event. It’s very much a battle of the light versus the dark and only one can win.

Personally, I’m a fan of the Cosmic Lux. I like the blue angelic tones and I also am a bit weary of all the dark purples that I’ve been seeing with the Dark Star skins in TFT (I’ve seen very little Star Guardian in this meta).

In addition to the two skins, the Galaxies Event will also feature a battle between the Cosmic and the Dark as “[o]ne of the Lux borders will permanently upgrade based on the outcome of the event.” Not only that, but the

design lead for missions, Xenogenic, confirmed that the side that wins will permanently alter Lux’s lore! I’m not sure how this will be determined, but I bet the vote you take when the mission first loads in between duty (Cosmic) and ambition (Dark) plays a factor!

The skins cost 1820 RP, but if you buy one you can get the other at discount (1001 RP).

Missions

Missions are back for the Galaxies Event and once again you can complete these missions to earn tokens that will unlock various prizes. Two missions that have been unlocked at the start of the event and more will become available as the event progresses.

The first of the available missions is to win a game or play three games, which unlocks tokens. The second, however, requires you to play 30 matchmade games which will grant you 60 tokens and a Galaxies Orb. Orbs contain one random skin shard and have a 4% chance to drop a Galaxies Grab Bag, which aren’t available to purchase with tokens.

Of course, if you want to pay to upgrade to the Event Pass, you will get four (4) Galaxies Orbs and 200 tokens to kick off. You’ll also unlock exclusive missions that can award additional tokens and things like Prestige Points (towards Prestige skins) and Gemstones! Of course, you’ll have to fork over 1650 RP (around $12 USD) to access the Pass.

Rewards

The moment you’ve all been waiting for, here are the rewards that you can unlock with tokens from this mission. Keep these in mind throughout the Galaxies Event so you know what you’re saving your tokens for:

• 1 token = 10 Blue Essence
• 10 tokens = 100 Blue Essence
• 20 tokens = 1 key fragment
• 40 tokens = random emote
• 50 tokens = random champion shard
• 50 tokens = Cosmic icon
• 60 tokens = 1 key
• 180 tokens = 3 keys
• 200 tokens = Galaxies Orb
• 250 tokens = Icon and border for the following skins
  • Dark Star Xerath
  • Dark Star Mordekaiser
  • Dark Star Malphite
• 300 tokens = Antimatter chroma and an icon for the following skins
  • Dark Star Xerath
  • Dark Star Varus
  • Dark Star Orianna

• 400 tokens = one random rare Little Legend
