We break down the top lane meta in our Patch 10.8 League of Legends tier list.

Our latest League of Legends tier list looks to the top lane meta. Wukong, Darius, and Sett dominated the meta in the last patch, but after the Sett nerfs in Patch 10.8 we might just see a big change at the top of our tier list.

Our aggregated League of Legends tier list pulled data from ten different sites around the internet to see how they each ranked the best top laner in the current meta. From that, we are able to give our average ranking of each top laner that was graded or listed in at least half of those tier lists. Without further ado, our latest League of Legends tier list.

    Rising Picks

    Urgot

He had the biggest increase to his ranking in Patch 10.8 among top laners, which isn’t surprising given that he was buffed in that same patch.

    Dropping Picks

    Trundle

No nerfs to the Troll King in Patch 10.8, but he took a massive dive in our tier list. That said, his win rate dropped by 5% from the last patch, so this huge drop is understandable.

    Underrated Picks

Tryndamere returns as an underrated pick in Patch 10.8 (rated in our mid-B tier but under a 2% pick rate), but this time he’s joined by a friend. Singed is also a B top laner with a sub-2% pick rate and definitely worth playing if you know his kit.

    Overrated Picks

Another recurring champion from last patch, Sylas still has over a 5% pick rate despite being rated in the C tier for top laners. Definitely look to move on from the Unchained if you’re not winning a lot of games on him.

    Buffed Champions

    Ryze

His Overload’s movement speed bonus got buffed along with some base stats, but Ryze remains in the dregs of our tier list, down in the D tier. His win rate in Platinum and above is 47.25% in Patch 10.8, meaning that he still continues to struggle as a solo queue pick. We’ll have to see whether these changes make him a viable competitive pick, however.

    Urgot

Bugfixes on his Disdain and a cooldown buff to his ultimate dragged the Dreadnought’s win rate over 50%. Unfortunately, the buffs weren’t enough to drag him out of the C tier. He is right on the borderline of the B tier, though, so maybe he’ll rise out of the prison in our next League of Legends tier list.

    Nerfed Champions

    Sett

The Boss was still the king of the top lane, so Riot elected to straight up hit the damage on his Haymaker. This finally seems to have done the trick, as Sett dropped off his throne into the A tier from the S tier. Although his win rate has been stable on Patch 10.8, this is also the first patch in which his pick rate is below 7% since his release.
