We give our tier list for Patch 10.9 so you know who are the best champions to play in League of Legends.

The newest patch in League of Legends included some massive buffs to the reworked Fiddlesticks, the forgotten jungler Kayn, and others. With nerfs to Karthus, Wukong, and Trundle as well, players are anxious to see how the meta has shaken out. Our League of Legends Patch 10.9 tier list will answer this question.

Our aggregated tier list pulled data from ten different sites around the internet to see how they each ranked the top champions in each role in Patch 10.9. From that, we are able to give our average ranking of each champion that was graded or listed in at least half of those tier lists. Without further ado, our latest League of Legends tier list.

Rising Picks

Only one top laner got big a bump to their ranking on our tier list in Patch 10.9, the recently-buffed Quinn. She got the biggest bump, going from C to mid-B tier after the buffs she got in this patch.

Dropping Picks

On the other side, no top laner took a significantly large hit to their ranking on our tier list this patch. The biggest drop by a top laner was to Gangplank, who went from low-B to high-C tier.

Underrated Picks

Tryndamere is our pick for the most underrated pick in Patch 10.9, due to his sub-2% pick rate but also being ranked in our mid-B tier.

Overrated Picks

The most overrated top laners (aka with a top-10 pick percentage by a lower-than-A rating) are Aatrox (who has the highest pick rate of all top laners and is at least a high-B champion), Irelia (over 8% pick rate, barely in the B tier), and Jayce (ninth-best pick rate, mid-C tier champion).

Buffed Champions

Quinn

As we noted, the buffs to her Blinding Assault have pushed her back into the mid-B tier of our tier list, making her a viable pick once again.

Cho’Gath

He may have gotten a buff to his Vorpal Spikes but Cho’Gath is hardly feasting in Patch 10.9, as he continues to languish down in the high-D tier.

Gnar

The transformer Yordle got buffs to both his Boulder Toss and Crunch, making his big Gnar form a bit more formidable. He rose from the mid to high-C tier in our tier list.

Nerfed Champions

Wukong

The Monkey King got a bunch of nerfs to his base armor, Crushing Blow, and Warrior Trickster. He did drop in our top lane tier list as a result, but only from the S to high-A+ tier.
