League of Legends: Patch 10.10 Tier List the Best Solo Queue Champions
By Josh Tyler
We give our tier list for Patch 10.10 so you know who are the best League of Legends champions to play in solo queue.
Patch 10.10 was certainly more focused on the solo queue side of League of Legends than professional play, with pubstomers Diana, Katarina, Kled, and Kayn getting nerfs while Udyr and Annie got buffs. Now that the changes had a couple of days to shake out, we look across the internet to see where the meta stands and form our tier list for this patch.
Our aggregated tier list pulled data from ten different sites around the internet to see how they each ranked the top champions in each role in Patch 10.10. From that, we are able to give our average ranking of each champion that was graded or listed in at least half of those tier lists. As always, you can find the link to all the underlying data here.

Rising Picks
Kayn was the top laner who got the biggest bump in our tier list in Patch 10.10, going from F up to high-D tier. As more players begin playing Kayn in ranked solo queue, it seems more sites are recognizing that he might be more than a niche pick.
Dropping Picks
Speaking of troll picks, though, in this patch Zac fell from the low-D tier into the F tier. It seems quite likely that Zac will be bouncing out of the top lane tier list next patch.
Underrated Picks
Tryndamere is, once again, the most underrated top lane pick in Patch 10.10, as he has a 1.9% pick rate despite being a low-A tier pick. Other underrated picks in the role (having a pick rate under 2% but being at least B tier) include Urgot, Pantheon, Riven, Quinn, and Singed.
Overrated Picks
Aatrox and Irelia remain as overrated picks this patch, but now Ornn has joined the club. All three are rated below A tier but have a top-ten pick rate for the top lane.
Buffed Champions
Irelia
Damage buffs to her Flawless Duet didn’t keep her from being overrated or take her out of the low-B tier. However, she has risen slightly on the tier list following these buffs so they seem to be pushing her in the right direction.
Nerfed Champions
Kayn
I’m sure that Riot didn’t have top lane Kayn in mind when they nerfed the passive heal in Rhaast form, but it doesn’t seem to have any effect on his viability in the top lane. As we noted, he rose swiftly up our tier list in Patch 10.10.
Kled
The nerfs to his Beartrap on a Rope definitely made this Cavalier a bit more cantankerous than normal, but at least they didn’t send him into a mushroom-juice-fueled rage. He dropped in our tier list from low-A+ tier to the A tier.
Maokai
The tree certainly didn’t get cut down by the nerfs to his base mana and the mana cost on his Bramble Smash. He’s still in the S tier after the nerfs, only suffering a slight dip to his ranking. So maybe call it more of a pruning than a cut.
