League of Legends Tier List: Patch 10.12 Aggregated Tier List

We give our League of Legends tier list for Patch 10.12.

Patch 10.12 had a lot of huge system changes, including some buffs to the Summoner Spell Ghost, along with changes to some keystone and minor runes, including Predator. With such drastic changes to the game coming at us, expect to see a lot of changes to our League of Legends tier list for this patch!

Our aggregated League of Legends tier list pulled data from ten different sites around the internet to see how they each ranked the top champions in each role in Patch 10.11. From that, we are able to give our average ranking of each champion that was graded or listed in at least half of those tier lists. As always, you can find the link to all the underlying data here.

Top Lane Tier List

S tier: Darius, Wukong, Fiora

⇐ = borderline-up (within 10% of being in the next-higher tier)
⇒ = borderline-down (within 10% of being in the next-lower tier)

Rising Picks

One patch removed from his rework, Volibear got the biggest boost to his rating in Patch 10.12 thanks to a bunch of buffs. He went from the D tier all the way up to the high-B tier in just one patch.

Dropping Picks

No nerfs to him, but the era of top lane Kayn may be coming to an end. He dropped from low-C to low-D tier in this patch.

Underrated Picks

There are a bunch of B tier picks that have a pick rate under 2%, so instead we’ll be giving our underrated top lane pick this patch to Singed, the A tier top laner with the lowest pick rate.

Overrated Picks

Aatrox is far and away our choice for overrated pick in Patch 10.12. He has the highest pick rate despite being in the mid-B tier in this League of Legends tier list. However, a few other champions that are top-ten in pick rate also did not make our A tier and would be considered overrated: Volibear, Ornn, and Irelia.

Buffed Champions

Akali

A base damage buff to her Five Point Strike didn’t really help top lane Akali too much in Patch 10.12, as she is still a low-C pick.

Volibear

Too many buffs to count, as Voli landed in quite a weak spot after the full rework. As noted, though, the buffs pulled Volibear out of the depths of the D tier and into the high-B tier.

Nerfed Champions

Cassiopeia

Riot said that they were looking to take down Cassio top and bot lane by nerfing her base stats (while also giving her some base MR to compensate). The result, though, was that Cassiopeia actually got stronger top lane, moving closer to jumping into the C tier.

Trundle

He got some nerfs to his base stats and Frozen Domain, but he was already an F tier pick as a top laner. That hasn’t changed after the nerfs.
