Our latest TFT guide ranks all the items in Teamfight Tactics and breaks down which champions can use each item best.

Learning how to itemize in Teamfight Tactics is a very steep curve. With the meta changing every two weeks and new OP comps rising and falling, it can be difficult to know when an item is strong and in which comps before something changes. In an attempt to make itemization a bit easier, we are combining this TFT guide with an item tier list so you know which items are generally good and who uses them the best.

We will be dividing the TFT items into four categories: universal use (S tier), strong use (A tier), situational use (B tier), and no use (C tier). Thus, TFT items will fall into one of the four tiers based on whether all, a bunch, or a small group of champions can use the item. We’ll rank all the TFT items in terms of their priority to pick up (as of Patch 10.12) and give a brief description of the item’s optimal uses as well as any “ideal” users for the item.

S Tier Items

These items are always good and worth putting on just about any of your strongest units. If you have the components for these items, it’s almost never bad to build it early.

1. Force of Nature

Use: Gives you one extra unit for free. Always good in any team comp.

2. Guardian Angel

Use: Any time you have a strong carry, getting them a GA is a good option in case the enemy positions to instantly kill them.

Optimal users: Fizz/Rumble/Annie (want to keep the Mech up as long as possible), any carry.

3. Quicksilver Sash

Use: Negate crowd control so that your strongest carries can do damage or ult without being interrupted. Good on just about any strong carry.

Optimal users: Any carry

4. Trap Claw

Use: Negate the first instance of crowd control and stun the enemy champion. Particularly effective when facing a Blitzcrank or Gnar.

Optimal users: Any carry.
