TFT Guide: Item Tier List and Which Champions use Items Best

B Tier Items
These items are situationally strong, meaning they require some additional condition to be met (such as a combination of traits or other items). They may also be items that are good, just not as good as other items their components could build into.
14. Giant Slayer
Use: This item is best on auto-attackers and those champions that can proc the on-hit effect (like Red Buff).
Optimal users: Lucian, Kog’Maw, Jinx, Vayne.
15. Titan’s Resolve
Use: Another great “offensive-defensive” item to pair with Bramble Vest. Titan’s Resolve is optimal on champions who will be able to survive longer into fights either through their ability or synergy but are also counted on as a source of damage.
Optimal users: Poppy, Jayce, Rumble/Annie/Fizz (for the Mech), Xin Zhao, Mordekaiser.
16. Ionic Spark
Use: This is a very good “offensive-defensive” item but it is really only maximized when you also have magic damage dealers on your team.
Optimal users: Poppy, Jayce, Mordekaiser, Gangplank, Gnar.
17. Deathblade
Use: This is a good item for damage dealers who are not reliant on auto-attacks and attack speed, since they get more bang on each damage or ability use.
Optimal users: Jhin, Irelia, Shaco, Riven, Caitlyn, Xayah, Fiora.
18. Rapidfire Cannon
Use: While it builds out of two Recurve Bows, this item is actually ideal for short-range carries who want the extra safety of the bonus range or just on any auto-attackers who want to make sure their attacks aren’t dodged.
Optimal users: Kog’Maw, Jinx, Vayne, Cassiopeia, Master Yi, Yasuo, Gangplank, Urgot.
19. Ruunaan’s Hurricane
Use: This is ideal for non-Blaster carries with on-hit items like Giant Slayer or Red Buff.
Optimal users: Any Sniper/Blademaster with an on-hit item.
20. Last Whisper
Use: Last Whisper will reduce the armor of a target who was hit with a critical strike, so it’s best used by a champion who also has Infinity Edge (which grants 100% crit strike chance).
Optimal users: Any Blademaster/Sniper/Blaster with IE.
21. Infiltrator’s Talons
Use: Because Infiltrators not only jump to the backline at the start of the round by gain bonus attack speed, this is best on any auto-attacking damage dealers who want that extra attack speed and can kill the backline.
Optimal users: Irelia, Darius, Master Yi, Yasuo, Vayne, Xin Zhao.
22. Jeweled Gauntlet
Use: This is really only good on a few units who will use their ults for damage and also potentially build Infinity Edge.
Optimal users: Irelia, Yasuo, Riven.
23. Frozen Heart
Use: It’s a solid armor item, it’s just never quite as good an option as something like Bramble Vest.
Optimal users: Any tank.
24. Hand of Justice
Use: It’s a good, but not great damage item for any type of auto-attack or ability damage carry. Basically, it’s a good “plug-and-play” item that you can put onto almost any of your carries.
Optimal users: Irelia, Riven, any Blademaster/Sniper/Blaster.

25. Star Guardian Heart
Use: This is good in very specific circumstances where you’re building around a Sorcerer who isn’t a Star Guardian.
Optimal users: Viktor, Xerath, Twisted Fate.
26. Zephyr
Use: This is another good “plug-and-play” item for tanks. The ability to remove one enemy from the first five seconds of the fight will always be useful, but this is an item that you build when you only have a few components left.
Optimal users: Any tank.
27. Protector’s Chestguard
Use: Another Spatula item, this item is arguably more useful because you don’t have to build an entire comp around Protectors to get use out of the item.
Optimal users: Urgot, Cassiopeia, Gnar, Jayce, Master Yi.
28. Dark Star’s Heart
Use: Like Protector’s Chestplate, this item doesn’t need you to build a comp around Dark Star champions and can be thrown onto a non-Dark Star carry.
Optimal users: Any non-Dark Star Blademaster/Sniper/Blaster.
29. Blade of the Ruined King
Use: This is a bit more nuanced than the other Spatula items uses. Blademasters will get a chance for additional attacks, making BotRK a great item on a non-Blademaster who can do any type of on-hit effect.
Optimal users: Darius, Zed, Vayne, Kog’Maw, Jinx, Xin Zhao.
30. Bloodthirster
Use: Bloodthirster isn’t a bad item, it’s just not nearly as good as other BF Sword items you could get.
Optimal users: Jhin, Jinx, Kog’Maw, Zed, Xin Zhao, Lucian.
31. Thief’s Gloves
Use: This is a good item to just throw on a random strong unit you weren’t planning to invest items on. Especially if you happen to get them to 3-stars.
Optimal users: Anyone.
