LCS Summer 2020 Week 3 is in the books, here is where the teams sit in our LCS power rankings.

After three weeks of play in LCS Summer 2020, there is a huge cluster of teams jockeying for second place. With six teams sitting at 4-2 on the split so far, figuring out which of them earned the second-best spot in our power rankings was no easy task.

Indeed, the power rankings were shaken up massively by surprising results like Evil Geniuses losing to TSM and FlyQuest dropping a game against Golden Guardians. With so much parity so far in LCS Summer 2020, who is going to end up in pole position behind Cloud9?

10. Dignitas (0-6)

Elo: 224 (+51)

We’ve hit that weird part of the season where teams have played just enough games that their elo rankings start to clump together, which explains why DIG got an increase to their rating despite going 0-2 again. Dignitas just looks like a team without direction. It’s not that they have bad players, they are just not working as a cohesive team.

9. Immortals (1-5)

Elo: 244 (+115)

Pop the champagne and let the confetti rain down, Immortals actually managed to win a game! With their “Academy” roster playing this last weekend (though that’s a stretch considering their Academy roster included three-fifths of their LCS roster from the Spring Split), Immortals managed to beat Golden Guardians in a fairly convincing fashion. Rookies Insanity and Allorim had one death between them in that game and Apollo looked absolutely incredible.

While they did lose their second game of the weekend to Cloud9, that really can’t be held against them. I hope Immortals sticks with this roster (excepting maybe swapping Potluck for Xmithie) going forward to see what they have in terms of young talent.
