We give our TFT tier list for Patch 10.14 to show the best units and comps.

After the stale meta of Patch 10.13, players were relieved to see the new Patch 10.14 was going to take aim at the dominant comps. After a few days of playing, it’s quite clear that those old comps are not only weaker individually, but also compared to other comps which received buffs. Our TFT tier list for the new patch will show just how powerful these comps new and old can be.

We’ll discuss the continued dominance of Sorcerer Riven, why Dark Stars jumped to the top of the food chain, and whether Protector comps are as strong as they seemed on patch day. All that and more in our TFT tier list!

Best compositions

In accordance with our rankings of the best champions, Classes and Origins, we now give you our best comps in Patch 10.14 based on the rankings from our TFT tier list. This will denote the units you should buy in each comp, as well as the best supplemental synergies to pair those comps with. We will also include any variations, advantages, or disadvantages to be aware of in specific Galaxies, if applicable.

We will put an asterisk next to the units that should be the main focus of these comps, to get to 2 or 3-stars and put items on. Note that when we recommend specific units of a Class/Origin but omit others for your pairings, we are saying these are the options we would consider to be above average or worthwhile additions to your comp.

  • Sorcerer Riven: Riven (*), Viktor (*), Twisted Fate, Zoe, Ahri, Annie, Syndra, Janna
    • Fast 8 comp (spend gold to level rather than prioritizing accumulating low-cost carries).
    • Round out this comp with
      • Xerath (instead of Annie/Zoe).
      • Soraka (instead of Janna).
    • Galaxies this works well in
      • Neekoverse (to guarantee you get a 2-star Riven/Viktor).
      • Treasure Trove (more money early to level quickly and get to carries OR to get items for your carries).
      • Medium Legends (more time to get to higher levels and carries).
  • Rebel Blademasters: Shen, Yasuo, Master Yi (*), Zed (*), Fizz, Irelia, Riven
    • Slow roll comp (make sure to go for 3-star Shen, Yasuo, Master Yi, and Zed).
    • Round out comp with
      • Xayah (if you are unable to get a Blade of the Ruined King on Zed).
      • Aurelion Sol (for Rebels).
    • Galaxies this works well in
      • Trade Sector (free re-rolls to help during the slow roll phase).
      • Treasure Trove (more money early to bank and save for the slow roll levels).
      • Neekoverse (makes the slow roll process faster).
      • Dwarf Galaxy (less room on the board makes melee carries better).
  • 6 Cybernetic: Ekko (*), Irelia (*), Vayne, Vi, Fiora, Leona
    • Fast 8 comp (spend gold to level rather than prioritizing accumulating low-cost carries).
    • Round out the comp with
      • Thresh and Shen or Riven (for Chrono and Blademasters).
      • Ashe and Wukong (for Chrono and Snipers).
      • Wukong and Caitlyn (for Chrono, Vanguard, and Snipers).
      • Gnar and Nautilus (for Brawlers and Vanguards, plus you can push for Astros if you hit nine units).
    • Galaxies this works well in
      • Neekoverse (to guarantee you get a 2-star Irelia/Riven).
      • Treasure Trove (more money early to level quickly and get to carries OR to get items for your carries).
      • Medium Legends (more time to get to higher levels and carries).
      • Binary Star (allows you to spread items to more champions).
      • Dwarf Galaxy (less room on the board makes melee carries better).
  • Blaster/Brawler: Gnar (*), Blitzcrank, Vi, Malphite, Jinx (*), Ezreal (*), Lucian, Kog’Maw
    • Fast 8 comp (spend gold to level rather than prioritizing accumulating low-cost carries).
    • Round out comp with
      • Aurelion Sol (for Rebels with Jinx and Malphite).
      • Graves (swap for Kog’Maw).
      • Soraka and Lulu for Mystics (drop two of your lower cost Blasters).
    • Galaxies this works well in
      • Treasure Trove (more money early to level quickly and get to carries).
      • Superdense (with 10 units at max levels you can possibly add two more Chronos like Riven and Thresh).

Concluding notes

While there’s not much more these aggregations can tell us with certainty with regards to comps or items, here is what the data from our TFT tier list can tell you about what to look for within your next Teamfight Tactics game.

  • It’s still a majority Fast 8 meta, with almost all the strongest units being 4/5-cost. Make sure that you are prioritizing leveling up quickly except in those few specific comps.
  • I would expect defensive items like Recurve Bow and Chain Vest to be the most-prioritized items in Patch 10.14 based on the champions that were rated highly in this TFT tier list. BF Swords, Negatron Cloak, and Tears will also still likely be high-priority, while Giants Belts, Needlessly Large Rods, and Brawler’s Gloves are likely the lowest priority.
